EDIT: the owner has since come back to leave a snarky response. I would like to clarify that I have them the opportunity to recognise their mistake several times but all they did was argue that they knew best about how things should be served. If you don’t know how to cook more complex meals, then stick to being a greasy spoon. There’s nothing wrong with that. But don’t serve people ice cold hollandaise sauce and get on your high horse when you are corrected. I stand by saying the price point is ridiculous too.
First of all, the price point in this establishment is extreme, clutch your wallets on the way in for extra protection. One slice of a Victoria sponge was £5.95, I did not buy because who can justify that.
I instead opted for an eggs royale which is an English muffin, smoked salmon, a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. The sauce was fridge cold when it came so I sent it back. The staff member I spoke to then proceeded to argue with me that the sauce is meant to be served cold. I obviously argued that it wasn’t. The meal was remade and then upon bringing me the new dish, she then told me that I needed to ask for it to be warmed up. I had to tell her to google how it’s meant to be served but she wanted to be WRONG AND STRONG about it and wouldn’t listen. How can you run a cafe and not know that you need to serve hollandaise sauce warm. It was such a disgusting feeling in my mouth. The new meal was tepid at best, the poached egg was undercooked too with runny whites.
This is why independent businesses close. Never willing to take on any constructive criticism and charging an arm and a leg but missing the quality that price point commands. My new job is in the area so was looking for a regular, oh well. Won’t be this place....

I am a Greenwich local, always looking for the best local places. Well, this definitely wasn't one of them. First of all, it's a sunny day in London - why is the staff so unhappy? They should be paid enough since the coffee is the most overpriced in Greenwich.
As I was waiting for my coffee, I saw that the place doesn't allow people to have their laptops. So don't bother showing up if you want to send an email while you sip on a coffee.
The coffee was okay. Not the best, not the worst. I guess it's okay if you have a family and need a larger table. Not a place for couples / single people. This is probably a better place for snacks / food / brunch. Definitely not coffee.
3 Suggestions: Cross the road to try Golden Cafe (owner offered me and my gf the BEST (and free) cappuccino made from premium coffee seeds. It is family owned. If you can walk 5 mins, go to Waterstones cafe near Cutty Sark. Much better service, more quiet and sometimes there is live classical music that hear from the street if you sit by the window. For the best chocolate/coffee in Greenwich, you have to go to Dark Sugars.
TLDR: Don't come for coffee. Maybe good for food? Basically, it's a corporate business that does not care about you and want to milk your £, based on their policies...
