I would give this a 0 star rating if google would allow, absolutely DISGUSTING service, I was arranging a major event through the supposed events manager Racquel Abaitua, who was shockingly lacking in any skills of professionalism or management.
After viewing the venue, and being in constant communication with Racquel through the tag venue website and me requesting to book the venue also on the website, Racquel told me she would need to send over a contract for me to sign. I had to chase her to send this to me and after 2 unanswered emails called and spoke to her at 17:00pm, 5 days later, because she still hadnât sent it. When we spoke she claimed she had been working through her emails (since Thursday it was now Monday) and would get back to me ASAP.
I received a contract in my junk folder at 17:30pm that evening and the next day just as I was about to start filling out the contract at 12:07pm received another email through the tagvenue website (guess the email system was back up and running, as she later claimed there were problems with the website and emails) saying sorry I tried to call you yesterday to tell you after speaking to you someone else called and paid the deposit to book the venue. We have availability on the Friday if you would like to move your event till then!
Disgusting! She had sent a contract through after 17:30pm and claimed to have tried to call me after that which means it could have been anywhere between 18:00pm onwards! Why are you calling me at that time?!! All our dealings over the phone have been before 17:30pm?!!!!!! additionally I received no such call or text via my phone and had no knowledge that the venue was not secured following my booking request, visiting the venue and making catering arrangements as at no point in our communication did she state a deposit would need to be made to SECURE my booking. And to simply offer a change of date as if I could now suddenly inform guests and family that were travelling that the event date had changed despite informing them in advance of this occasion. Not to mention this was less than two weeks in advance of my event!
After a very angry phone call, where I was told itâs first come first served, despite the fact I was the one who made the enquiry first and additionally had not actually been asked for a deposit to secure the room instead was told a contract would need to be sent for me to sign and additionally just then being told âoh the other booking has a higher minimum spend than youâ I asked for the complaints procedure/email process and received the following from Racquel,
âUnfortunately, I am the person in charge of the venue so all complaints will land on me. Due to your manners or the lack thereof, I have no intention to follow up on our conversation.
Thank you and good luck with your event.
Raquel.
In summary I have lost time AND money and I would never touch or recommend this place and Racquel should consider a different career as anything professional is not her strong point. Also still not received a response to my complaint. No other words...
Read moreBought tickets for an event on Saturday night and had to wait AN HOUR in a queue - not a very long queue (about 8ft of pavement), it just hardly moved due to what I can only describe as incompetent management - people were pushing in from both sides, security were taking FOREVER to check IDs and search people and sometimes just standing there doing nothing. We asked numerous times why it was taking so long and whether it was one-in, one-out but they said it wasnât. No explanation, just that everyone will get in, you just have to wait. Whether they were trying to create some kind of hype by keeping people outside I donât know but it made no sense. When we finally got in it was far from full. They couldâve been making more money if all those people were inside for that hour surely. And we could have been enjoying our night rather than spending an hour of it at almost a stand still for a whole hour on this horrendous bit of pavement with no management of drunk people pushing in from all sides. Wouldnât have stayed if we hadnât paid ÂŁ10 for a ticket. The night was okay, but it was hard to have a good time having waited for that long for no good reason. When we finally got in there was one guy typing in everyoneâs names into a laptop - perhaps that was part of the hold up. That and the slow bouncer. Organisers did eventually apologise for the wait but didnât seem that bothered and it was too little too late really. Wonât be going back and wouldnât recommend buying tickets for events at this venue. And it was my birthday!...
Read moreVisited for the 1st time on 31/8/19 for the Disco House event. According to the official Facebook event page, admission would be FREE before 10pm. We arrive there at 9:40 pm and we are told that we had to pay £5 each and in cash (fishy). When I point out the event page they just shrugged and said that they were following orders from management. We begrudgingly decided to still go ahead and pay the £5, then the bouncer asked us to get our phones out and scan a QR code stuck next to the entrance in order to subscribe for promotion spamming from the venue. I asked him on whether all 7 of us had to do it and he said yes since "it's a member's club", what a load of rubbish. By that point we decided that if they are going to treat us like they are making us a favour to spend money at their venue, then we might as well go somewhere else. We hit Phonox which was very happy to accept the £400 that we spent that night and was friendly and...
