We visit London for the first time, after sightseeing, we went to many different places for food, but one thing London famous for is fish and chips. We had to try one, but my wife and daughter don’t like fried food so I had to find some place for me to eat. Near our hotel there’s this place called long lane fish bar, and they only accept cash so I had to get some money from the ATM. The price is quite reasonable and I took out instead of eating in. The fish is very crispy and tasty with tartar sauce (had to pay $.50), there’s no vinegar although the server squirt some in the fries. The fries are excellent, very fresh potato IMO. The prices are low and the fish is tasty but tends to be a bit of the greasy side compared to some other places I've tried but the stand out for me is the chips. Generous portions and I tend to add them to a chip butty to go for a true carb overload.
They've got all the usual selection of sausages, chicken pies and spring rolls and they have a few varieties of fish to choose. I recommend the haddock as well. It tends to have a bit more flavour than the cod and will be cooked...
