I went to collect my mrs order. Security point at lady so she will help then i present her my order Email. She said your order not delivered you have to wait for order. I told her we got mail say its ready to collect still she say NO you have to wait for a another mail. Then i told we received a mail from UPS. Then she wan to see that mail 😅 again have had to call Mrs at work to get that over when i recived I showed her now she is asking UNDER who’s name I said may be in my name now she no we cant give the order you need to know the name. Then I have to tell her why don't you go and get the order so if it's my name you give, then I even showed her my ID she gos there is lot of order so we cant see I told her take my Id with her then one guy next to her say’s its our security procedure lol. Then she checked my ID and not even 2min got my order oyr do they dont like we order thing from online? I thought its hussel free and I ask that guy who is the manager he reply she is a one of the manager’s i had to tell him It’s so sad to hear and he keep defending her and made some comments she is the best. for MAC need to know we dont come there for argue. I felt si bad for others who work there under her. Also I had to by a pump and some other things I felt so disgusting to stay and buy left after I collect my order. My Mrs said there are reputation They experience this sometimes with other I never knew. I booked a £30 half hour make up session prior to having a professional head shot taken. The make up itself was OK though the artist was late and then spent a fair amount of time going upstairs to get products so she spent less than the booked time doing it. But what followed was so absolutely cringe making. Instead of paying £30 for the service as I expected she told me I had to buy at least £30 of products. I don't wear makeup so didn't want the products ... so as not to make a fuss I tried to pick out something costing 30 quid (a single mascara costs this much!!!). I was told there was a special offer that day so the mascara had a discount, so I needed to add something else to make it up to £30. I asked if there was something small I could add and the makeup artist tried to sell me an eyeshadow for 20 quid. I said that I didn't want to pay £50 for a service advertised at £30 at which point the make up artist walked off very abruptly. I imagine she is on commission or has sales targets to make so not really her fault. But the whole thing was incredibly awkward and embarrassing especially as I had already tipped her. I ended up paying £33.75 (buying 3 mini products I didn't want) plus tip for the service. I'd recommend going to Charlotte Tilbury instead as they don't indulge in pressure selling and are also way nicer...

I came to this store about a week ago looking for a foundation that would be suitable for a 6 week long hiking holiday across Asia. I had no idea what I was looking for as I'm not a regular mac user (I had been given a voucher); so told the assistant that I wanted something light, both in colour and coverage and also that I do not tan. She picked two colours out from the testers and rubbed them both on my wrist so I could compare. Both were too dark (perhaps she assumed I would tan?), this was also the first time that anyone had used my wrists to match the colour, normally I've had it done on my jaw line. Eventually we settled on a colour, even though I was convinced it was too dark as she did not even bother to test it on my face. She then gave me the foundation and rushed off to another customer. I waited around by the till to pay for about 7-8 minutes, granted it was busy, however there was no system to the tills and customers were pushing in front to pay. With doubt about the colour of the foundation I was given, and also because of the chaos at the back of the shop by the tills, I put down what I was buying and left.
