Not good. I found it to be a cold impersonal tourist trap with no atmosphere and pretty inattentive staff. It took the joy out of our night out and I felt about as welcome as covid. I would not go back under any circumstances.
Update: I have a response below and will call over the weekend if possible or by Monday at the latest.
Update: I just tried to call. Phone rang for three minutes and then I was cut off. Left a message. Am not calling back. But if it assists, here are some detailed suggestions: Have staff acknowledge someone waiting at the bar; make sure bar staff know who is next; if there are several people waiting and bar staff are not serving, they should step in; smiles and talking to a customer show the customer that they are valued and not someone who is stopping them from going home; listen to the order - get the size of product right and don't forget part of the order altogether; seating and ambience of a good standard of comfort encourages people to stay and spend more - the open area downstairs scores lowly in this respect in my view and, finally, remember that you are charging a lot of money for your product that is cheaper in equally prestigious parts of London (the City, Westminster, St Pauls, Knightsbridge and Borough Market/the South Bank) and Londoners know that.
Update/Reply: Thanks PJ, much...
Read moreOn Sunday around 5:30 PM, my husband and I visited your establishment. I was finishing a green tea ice cream as we entered, and we were approached by an employee who informed us, rather aggressively, that food was not allowed inside. My husband politely asked if we could simply throw it away, but instead of accommodating our request, the employee insisted that we leave immediately.
I tried to assure him that I would finish the ice cream quickly and outside, but he continued to insist that we leave, and at one point, he pushed me. This physical contact was completely unnecessary and made me feel uncomfortable and harassed. I calmly asked him not to touch me and questioned why he was being so aggressive. Instead of de-escalating the situation, he raised his voice further, asking, “Why can’t I push you?”
We were both taken aback by this treatment, especially since we were behaving respectfully and were simply trying to comply with the rules. This experience left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and disrespected.
I wanted to bring this to your attention as this behavior is unacceptable, and I hope appropriate measures can be taken to prevent this from happening to others in the future.
I looked for a manager and they said he is downstairs. But didn’t the manager and we ended up just...
Read moreI stopped by Punch and Judy for breakfast and decided to keep it simple with just chicken tenders and a Coke—and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most satisfying meals I’ve had in a long time.
The chicken tenders were a real highlight: perfectly golden, crisp on the outside, and incredibly juicy inside. You could tell they were freshly made rather than something thrown in a fryer. The seasoning was spot on, giving each bite a delicious, comforting flavor. Paired with an ice-cold Coke, it was the perfect no-fuss breakfast that really hit the spot.
The atmosphere at Punch and Judy was warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer—they treated even a simple order like mine with genuine care and attention. It made the whole experience feel special, even though I wasn’t having the “typical” breakfast spread.
All in all, Punch and Judy proves that it doesn’t matter what you order: everything is made with quality and served with kindness. Highly recommend, even if you’re just in the mood for something...
