On Monday 11th August, I was at Brent Cross and decided to get something for dinner. I was going to go to Shake Shack but I remembered there was a new-ish burger place in the food hall so I decided to try it. I got a burger for take away from Smoky boys to try. When I got home and settled for my dinner, I took a bite of the burger and it was literally raw! It was totally red inside. I was so upset for a number of reasons. I canât have raw meat and I never eat rare or raw burgers. When I placed my order, no one asked me how I wanted my meat nor was there any mention of how the meat was prepped. There was also no sign about the meat. So I was really upset to get home and find raw meat in my burger. I called the restaurant and spoke to someone who told me that that was how they prepared their meat. I explained that I couldnât eat it and that I should have been told how the meat was prepared and given a chance to request for it to be well done. The person on the phone apologised and said he will text me a voucher for a free burger to replace the burger I found inedible. I chucked the raw burger in the bin and had to order something else. Todayâs Saturday and I still havenât received any voucher or text from Smokyâs. Overall bad experience and will stick to Shake Shack for my burgers especially since theyâre practically...
Read moreI visited smoky boys (Brent Cross) yesterday and ordered the ribs, expecting a satisfying portion of food. While the 20-minute wait wasnât unreasonable given what I ordered, the real letdown was the dish itself â the ribs were dry, tough, and lacked flavour. Honestly, they tasted like theyâd been microwaved rather than freshly cooked.
Iâve had ribs from other spots like Bun N Sum and Holy Smoke, and the difference was night and day. Their ribs are juicy, tender, and full of flavour â exactly what youâd hope for. Smoky Boys sadly didnât meet that standard.
Iâm leaving this review in the hope that the team takes it as constructive feedback. Food quality matters, and I genuinely want them to improve and live up to the potential they...
Read moreThis is my second visit to Smoky Boys in Brent Crossâ newest eating district. Ordered a mixed platter which was shared between 3. The burgers were succulent and beefy, chicken wings sticky and smoky. The loaded brisket fries are absolutely my favourite and I would come back just for those! Enjoyed the mac n cheese and coleslaw (but a little more vinegar in the coleslaw would make it perfect). Also the drinks at this eatery are definitely worth a try - recommend Jarritos Mexican cola! A lovely new halal eatery with quality food, fast and friendly service! The foodcourt itself is very plush & comfortable with...
