I will not be going to this superdrug store at Bloomsbury (Brunswick Shopping Center) ever again. I used to go there a lot, and I would buy most of my things from there. But their rudeness, as the reviews below also comment on, is just BE-YOND. I do not think that the managers at this store care at all about managing business.
I went to the store last night five minutes before its closing time (Thursday 27 October 2022). Right when I reached the door, I heard a loud scolding bark from a young woman at the till. She was shouted rudely, "we are closing, only cards." She repeated her shouts two or three times. It was so rude. I froze at the door. I literally felt that I am a beggar who has come into the store to harass, and not a customer at all.
I was still polite, despite feeling upset, because I had only one little thing to buy.
She was not busy. The one customer whom she had been helping very briefly had already left.
I asked her a small question, and she rudely replied, oh, I don't know, and waved me off.
I then asked a young man working there and he was nice and he helped me. I heard the woman shouting again, âoh we are closing,â as the guy was going to check me out. I told him that she was being rude, and when she heard me say that, and she started screaming at me all over again, defending her rude behaviour. She was literally shouting at me.
After telling her to stop speaking to me like that several times, when she would not stop answering me back, I finally said, "shut-up." She blew up, waving her hands and arms, and barked again at the nice man, and told him and me, âwe will not serve you, oh, we don't serve rude customers.â
So, the employees can be as rude and as loud and shouting as they can, but the customer cannot tell them to please stop being rude to me?
Another young woman came to the till, and she started shouting at me too because she wanted to support her bullyish colleague. This other woman refused to listen to me and my explanation, and continuously sided with her bully colleague, and told me "we will not serve you." She also said, âoh, she talks that wayâit was not about you.â Oh, really? So, you can speak whichever you want to your customers? And it is the customerâs job to tolerate your rudeness?
These two women then started behaving like high school bullies, laughing and jeering at me, with exaggerated mock laughter. The woman continued to engage in a speaking contest with me, giving me stupid answers because she did not want to admit that her way is no way to speak to customers.
The manager then came out to help me check out, but the two women kept on laughing out aloud -- and the manager, also woman, did not do anything to manage their behaviour or tell them to stay quiet. The manager did not do a single thing. The rude bullyish employees acted like kings-- and there was no way to check their behaviour or make them quiet down. After I had paid (because the manager came in to help me), the rude woman, stood at the door and said very very loudly and rudely: "leave, now leave."
If there is a CCTV camera in the store, you can take a look at it and see how rudely she is behaving and how she does not know how to stop speaking before a customer. My complaint was, she should not be shouting at me.
Where is the manager? How is this person a manager when she obviously has no control over her employees? I noticed the nice young man who was working, simply left the scene and that made it obvious that he was well aware that the two women were uncontrollable and that it was useless to...
Read moreReading the previous reviews about this Branch I am not surprised that I have had such a horrible experience this afternoon. It looks like I was just another victim of rude and incompetent Staff who is clearly lacking leadership and personal skills. I was in the Store to buy just two items this afternoon : there must have been about 5 people in, including myself. I saw two members of Staff : one at the till and a young girl working through some delivery off a cage of stock. I am not sure the word "working" is appropriate for what the girl was really doing is throwing stuff on the floor, supposedly in correspondence of where the item was located on the shelves. So while I was standing in one of the isles she tossed something across the floor in front of me, like if it was the most normal thing ever. I found what I wanted and headed for the till with two items clearly marked as 2for1.50 on the shelf. When the Cashier pressed the subtotal it came to 1.80. I said that the price was wrong but she charged me anyway and told me to pay and then go and check ( basically do her job!), which is what I did, and yes, the offer was 2for1.50. So, after re joining the queue I waited for the same cashier to finish her chatting to the girl in front of me and then I was asked to wait for her Manager, because 30p is obviously an amount that a grown woman couldn't certainly refund me without any supervision đ€Ł And, guess who was the Manager entrusted with such a task? No others than the little girl chucking stuff across the floor!!! She approached the desk but I was wearing my invisible cloak so she could not see me and didn't say a word to me but listened to the woman explaining what happened and then a lengthy, mute transaction took place : the Team Leader ( so help her God) couldn't figure out how to refund me the 30p and so she decided, after laboriously tapping on the till screen, to refund my entire transaction and charge me again! The whole thing must have taken up the whole of her brain capacity because while performing it she could not look at nor talk to me! And even after the open heart surgery she performed was successful she was so exhausted that she couldn't even say not sorry but even goodbye đł
And this is the reason why I only buy about 10 things every year in Superdrug now ( I used to spend 100ÂŁ a month) and...
Read moreNever saw a very horrible customer service like there! I went there Monday, I took some stuff and I been served from Seema. She start to scan twice my products, and when I say something she was telling me that I could take 2 more for free thatâs why she was scanning the same product twice. Ok, fair enough, but I saw from the screen there were more product that I actually have bought, and when I tried to address her the mistake she was not let me talk. Ok I havenât said anything. I asked for the receipt and I was on the side checking the receipt and when I was trying to show her, she cut me off telling me that some of them are discount, talking to me while she is walking away from me. Is it the way a person should talk to a customer?
The day after I decide to come back with my bag and the receipt to show them what was wrong and I was very polite because si work on retails too and mistake happen. She saw me at the door and just moving her head she was asking me: âwhatâs wrong?â. I have aprocehed her telling that I been over charged. Then her colleague Raza said she will take over my case. I was politely showing her, but she didnât let me talk at all, and she was trying to say that was correct, even though at the bottom of the receipts say the total amount of item you bought. My receipt was saying 12 when I have 10 in my bag. She hold me 10min to try to convince me that nothing was wrong⊠when I show her item by item then she decided to do the refund⊠but all of this came whit very rude manners. She doesnât let you talk and she donât listen neither.
Well, I wonât come back anymore⊠they donât have manners and they donât know how to be respectful when people...
