Boots — Local services in London

The single most rude customer service I have ever experienced. The sign on the front of the shop said that the store opened at 8.30am. I arrived at ~8.45am and the door was locked and so I waited patiently thinking they must just be late opening. After 10 mins a man arrived with deliveries. The lady opened the door for him and then ordered me to stand back and closed the door in my face. I asked if I could simply ask a question (I wanted to know if they stocked a particular hydrocortisone cream) otherwise I would try somewhere else. She refused to answer me, locked the door and turned away.

I am a doctor visiting the UK and work with many fantastic pharmacists back home. I have never had such a terrible experience. This was an appalling way to treat anyone, customer, medical professional...

Horrible experience shopping here. I’m a long time customer of Boots and was in the area for work and popped in to pick up a few essentials for my trip.

Followed around by a creepy security guard - shame he didn’t pay enough attention to see me queue and pay for my items… Luckily I opted for a receipt for the transaction as this security guard accosted me as I went to leave the store, demanding to know if I was going to pay for my items. Upon showing him my receipt he just turned away. No apology. When I asked him to inspect my receipt and acknowledge his mistake, he touched my arm without my consent.

Pharmacy staff very unhelpful. I was the only person in the store and went to collect my prescription. I was told its ready just needs to be checked by pharmacist. I saw 3 people doing there own thing and not checking the only prescription there. Waited 20min and left. Told them I'll be back tomorrow. At least that will give them enough time to check the name and medication given to me. Absolutely ridiculous. I had a bus to catch or I'll be late for work. Couldn't even check while waiting 20min and the only person there. Never had this before, they use to be really quick and helpful. Not anymore. Will be changing my Pharmacy after this prescription I collect tomorrow. If I could, I would of given...
