Marks & Spencer — Local services in Manchester

Now M&S you are well known for the food quality whether its in the supermarket or in your cafe. Ive been coming to Manchester now for my breakfast at your cafe with my wife and now 4yr old son for the best of 4 years and cant tell you how nice your Full English Breakfast is. However, today we have come to town for a breakfast only to be told you have taken the full English off your menu and changed it to a dry loaded muffin, why you would do this is beyond me and yet the staff dont seem to get their head round it either especially when they tell you its the most popular out of everything on your menu! As a Foodie myself, I have honestly never seen M&S make such a ridiculous decision to remove something that is the most popular thing on your menu, not to mention the fact that the cafe isn't as busy as it used to be due to this matter. Its like taking Milk and Bread out of your supermarket, you just wouldn't do it, although im starting to think that i wouldn't put it past you. Id like to of given you a 5 star as a whole but today ive come to your cafe and ordered poached egg on toast with a side of beans only to get my toast wet, soaked should I point out, to the point where my butter wouldn't stick to it because the water from my eggs has soaked my toast. Not to mention my eggs being cold too. Just bring back the full English keep your customers happy and then we can all enjoy our breakfast rather than having poached eggs water...

I’m certain all of the recent reviews are from overly entitled customers making mountains out of molehills. I love this shop!

Amazing huge wall of sustainable pantry staples where you can either get a brown paper bag or bring your own container and fill up on rice, lentils, pasta etc from a dispenser and it is weighed for you and prints out a barcode! Brill! Why don’t more places have this?

Honestly even as a student I find them cheaper than even Tesco! For how high quality, fresh, and flavourful the food is the prices honestly aren’t bad at all. All staples such as bread, milk, etc are the exact same as in other shops but are much nicer and tastier!

Great variety of products for all diets from vegan to veggie to halal to calorie conscious. I’m a big fan of their teabags (nicer than any name brand and only £1.25 a pack!) and their frozen yogurts in particular. Also, their fruit and vegetables are easily the best out of any supermarket.

The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the self-service machines work great, they take both cash and card and seem to play up a LOT less than the ones in Lidl.

M&S you lost a good customer and I regret I have ever bought something from your shop I have never had more horrible experience in any shop and I used to always thought so well of the brand before I met two of your branch managers one on Salford Quays it was a lady and man at Ashton Underline both were called by the lovely sales ladies to help and absolutely useless both of them so

We bought few things as usual in marks and when I wanted to use the yeashirt my wife chose for me turns out she didn't look and I never saw thf shirt u till the day I wanted to wear it and got disappointed as short was damaged probably by the alarms they put on but anyways I never used it brought back and asked nicely if they could help me out as I couldn't find the receipt and... Your policies are disgraceful I only asked if I could chose something else as I didn't want to waste 25,£ however no chance. How low and cheap is that? For a respectable brand? I have thrown the shirt as I walked out as the weird man who came to sort the problem out tried to blame me for selling the damaged product and after refusing to even accept it back and apologise for incontinence they caused me.
