I'm really impressed with how the bowling centre is looking these days. Great facilities for families and teenagers. Even if not bowling there was an arcade area with game machines and pool tables. I noticed several pool/snooker tables covered up whether they are used for club competition I'm not sure. There were quite a few staff members around and the manager appeared to have a really good relationship with his staff. So important when you're going to an entertainment centre to feel the staff enjoying their job. After a hot day at work I'd just called in for a drink and some thing to eat. I couldn't resist the sound of the frozen passion fruit daquari. The manager revealed that they were expanding their cocktail menu and I must admit the Mayan old fashioned will definitely be next on the list to try. The cocktails were fabulous in both their serve and taste. The bar is really beautifully done with a good selection of drinks on offer. Food was American diner style tho I did see a pasta dish on the menu. I had the Stroud bowl burger with fries which again was great in presentation and flavour. Everywhere looked very clean and it appeared a comfortable and safe place for young and old to hang out. Would strongly recommend visiting. Though probably best to book if you wish to bowl. As I left just before 7pm and pretty much all the lanes...

Normally I have a really good time here with my family and if a machine isn't releasing the tickets we get a letter behind the desk with an estimate of how many tickets we have. This time I had to wait in a queue which someone pushed in front. I was told by the woman behind the desk that I had to meet a man by the machine. There was a 4 year old boy playing when the man filled the machine back up with tickets. The man then said to half the tickets coming out of the machine with the 4 year old and abruptly left leaving me to half the tickets. The 4 year old then proceeded to say I was stealing the tickets. Managed to sort it out when dad came over. I left embarrassed and this all could have been avoided if the staff hadn't left and explained it to the child or halved them for us. Or the desk lady had given us a rough amount of tickets which they have done on...

Stroud Bowl hosted our daughter's 8th birthday party on Friday 20th Dec, between 5 and 7.30pm. They couldn't do enough for us in the lead up to the party. They asked for food orders (and were very flexible) and shoe sizes in advance, to be efficient on the day, and typed in the children's names onto the computers so that the bowling lanes were all set up and ready to go. Every staff member I asked for help, was so kind and professional! They couldn't do enough for us to make the party go well for our daughter! They provided unlimited squash and delicious food, lit the candles on the cake generally helped with anything we needed!! Everyone was very positive and kind, and it really made the party flow easier! Thank you so much to the manager (who also cooked the food to perfection), and to the whole team who...

Somewhat tired bowling alley. We visited during the holidays and it was pretty busy. There are maybe around 20 lanes here, so booking, I'm sure, is essential during peak times. This is one of those bowling alleys where you have to wear their bowling shoes (which seems somewhat alien now given so many places let you wear your normal shoes). The bowling balls were in good condition. There are just a few amusements machines here and a large number of pool tables. Plus a bar. It's right next to a car park also (the entrance to the alley is from the top of the car park).

Booked one game of bowling for my son’s birthday and had lunch afterwards. The staff were very attentive to our needs and nothing seemed too much trouble. One of our group is a Celiac so they made sure there was no cross contamination of the food and did have a couple of options available - jacket potato’s and lasagne . Prices not too bad especially in the bar. Such a shame this place doesn’t get used much, we pretty much had the place to ourselves on a Saturday. My kids love it here.
