NEVER EVER AGAIN Appallingly hot cinema, full of the most uncomfortable filthy seats money can buy and utterly disgraceful customer service.
30+°C heat with no ventilation and according to the staff there was no way to turn on the Air conditioning. Paid extra to get the luxury seats, firstly not only were they so unbearably uncomfortable, and with the abysmal heat I now have a horrible rash on my back and my legs.
Secondly the seats were filthy. Covered in wet sticky drinks, old popcorn and dirt, it was obvious no one had properly cleaned the cinema in a very long time.
The manager took my name, number and email, ensuring I will be contacted by senior management to rectify the appalling conditions that paying customers were expected to try and cope with, and guess what NO ONE TRIED TO CONTACT ME.
More then 30 people wanted to file a complaint to the managers but we were all told that there was no way to make any formal complaints we can only leave feedback on an online portal. I drove over an hour to get there and now I know that I will absolutely never visit a vue cinema again.
If this was my company I would have been so embarrassed but quite obviously customers aren't important to VUE.
Avoid these cinemas for God's sake or you...
Read moreI was in screen 3 to watch a movie, the screen is too small and if you're say anywhere further back than the middle then you'll probably have trouble seeing the screen. It doesn't help that they barely dim the lights when the movie starts and if you're say near the middle staircase the blue lights on the stairs are a real distraction.
It also doesn't help that when the movies audio gets a bit bassy, you can physically see the screen vibrating and warping in certain areas. And finally the door to the screen has a window that directly shines lights from the street outside right onto the bottom right corner of the screen.
I'd like to say this review is entirely based off of my experience with Screen 3, I do not know what the other screens are like and I will change my review if I ever go back and have a...
Read moresadly this cinema has gone very downhill since it opened. The VIP seats may as well be rocking chairs, and most of the arms are broken.
The cinema staff don't really seem to care. We went to see Spectre and no one switched the lights off until we asked (in the opening film credits.)
We also booked Star Wars tickets 2 months in advance, only to pick the tickets up 2 days before, and be told that they didn't have the seats any more (broken) but we could rebook but would have to pay extra as they'd put the prices up since our original booking. They had our booking details - it would have been nice if they'd actually contacted us to say there was a problem.
While it's nice to have a local cinema, sadly the experience of going there is so poor, we'll be travelling a bit...
