CeX — Local services in Stroud

What you have to bear in mind with CEX is that you get a 2-year warranty on items (6 months at full price paid and then gradually decreasing to current value at the time), but this is still MUCH better than buying second hand off e-Bay. However, one tip (to prove I'm not from CEX), always try and buy direct from a store - if it goes wrong, a store has to sort it. If you buy online and it goes wrong, you have to try and deal with their central department, which appears to be notoriously understaffed and incredibly slow to respond. We had to instigate legal action over a faulty Macbook before the central returns department finally sorted it after almost 2 months. Stores are a different matter, and we've always had really good, prompt service on occasions when something has developed a fault. So I have a large collection of dvds and cds that I wanted to trade in. I did think that CEX might not want such a large collection but had a look online and found nothing to say they wouldn’t let me trade them in so we boxed everything up and drove over to the Stroud branch as we could park closer than Gloucester or Cheltenham. When we arrived however a lady member told us they have a limit of 25 per day. Talking with manager regards my account being restricted to sell items to cex. I have been a reliable, honest customer and have made many transactions with cex in stroud without any problems. Electronic items i have sold are all legitimate with receipts. It appears another retailer with some personal issue has made some accusation without any solid proof as i understand inocent until proven otherwise. No legal case is been up held.
