When I went to this museum, I didn't know what to expect, nor what was in store for me. I learned a lot and knew Eisenhower was a great general, but I didn't know he was responsible for planning both major conflicts of WWII and much more. Things to know... First, this museum is for people of all ages. Second is the house he grew up in. You can tour it, but only at scheduled times. So watch the times. Third, there is lots of reading, so you can read what it says and then tell stories to kids that bring it all to a different level of learning. What makes it stand out is how authentically preserved it is — the home has been left exactly as it was when the museum took ownership, giving a true sense of what life was like during Eisenhower’s upbringing.
The staff are very well-informed and share the history with respect and clarity without overwhelming you. Parking is easy, and admission is reasonably priced, especially if you have a genuine interest in presidential or military history.

It was great that they limited the number and arrival time of visitors as that gave us plenty of " safe space" and time to read everything .
