Awesome staff! Great service considering my guest had to call 911 for transport to the ER due to pre-existing heart condition. Thank you Hampton Inn for being super nice 🙂. Absolutely recommend this location. Super peaceful smoking areas. Great indoor pool with available usage until 10 pm. Easy peasy access & convient handicap parking with access to interstate. Within walking distance of good food establishments & retail locations.

For $170 a night. This hotel is not worth it. I asked for a different room because it was dirty and was told there wasn't another room available. It was late, cloae to midnight, when the wife and our newborn had checked-in. We had been driving all day and figured we would make it work by the time we settled in and fell asleep it was about 12:30am.... UNTIL 7am the SMOKE DETECTOR! Started beeping!!!

What a great hotel, I can not say enough about this place. Let's start with fresh coffee and "good creamer" right when you walk in the door. Spacious rooms with strong shower pressure, got to have that. The breakfest is from 6am-10am, Aim Hospitality knocks it out of the park. Everything was on point and the rate was even better.

We had driven here from Love Field in Dallas, a three-hour trip, for the purpose of surprising a dear friend at her 70th birthday party. The traffic had been heavy, we had just a short time to get ready for the party, and both of us needed the restroom. Mai, the front desk clerk, said the restroom was locked and she didn't know where the key was! Wait a minute: You have a single restroom off the lobby in this hotel, and it is LOCKED? "Old hotel," she said. And she said that more than once as she checked us in almost too slowly for comfort, as we were forced to accept a room on the third floor even though we'd requested a fourth (top) floor room. The thing I needed as much as the restroom was coffee. There were two urns on a table in the lobby: one labeled DARK and the other LIGHT. Only the light one contained any coffee, and it was tepid. But hey, it was caffeine, so I endured it. Only one of the three elevators worked. Upstairs finally, and into our room, we determined that this indeed is an old hotel. The furniture and decor are straight from the set of "Golden Girls." But it was clean and we could see our rental car in the parking lot below. We quickly freshened and changed, then dashed over to our friend's home for her birthday party. Later that night, we returned to the hotel, whose lobby was filled with people in wet swimsuits and beach towels. There were others sitting outside on the curb smoking cigarettes. Classy.

We made ourselves a couple of cocktails and were soon off to sleep. Despite a few elevator dings and a little hallway noise, we slept well enough.

The next morning, we went down to the common area for the complimentary breakfast. It was fairly standard as Hamptons go, except there was a noticeable lack of yogurt and fresh fruit, which are usually present, and the condiments for the oatmeal looked ravaged--as if a crowd of football players had already run through the buffet. But we were the first ones there. It was 6:00 AM. Sigh. At least there was dark-roast coffee this time.

Other shortcomings of this self-professed "old hotel":

There was only one tiny bar of soap in our bathroom. There was something missing off the bathroom wall, and an ugly empty space left in its wake. What used to be there? The pillows were too small and too soft. For a king-size bed, there should have been at least four of these. The top sheet was too short. We were able to cover our shoulders only with the comforter. The sidewalk leading from the front entrance leads only part of the way around the side of the building to the parking lot. After about two car spaces, that's it. You have to walk down into the parking lot.

The best thing about this place is its location. It needs a major refreshing, though, to be brought back to Hilton standards. Meanwhile, if we need to stay in Abilene again, we won't surprise our friend; we'll let her know we're coming so we can stay in her lovely...

The lady at the front desk upon check out (blonde, shoulder + hair length, approximately aged 25-35) was nothing but snooty! She did not say good morning nor did she ever smile; she sneered while my husband made coffee; she was speaking poorly about another guest to the maintenance man right at the front desk; she was not available at the desk for long periods of time (the phone rang 55 rings, and she never came, plus I had to ring the front desk bell to get her to come check us out). When she did show up, she immediately made an excuse that she was on the phone in the back making a reservation. I did not reply, and then she said, "like I said, I was on the phone making a reservation." She did not bother to ask how the room was or even thank us for being Hilton Silver members or thank us for our stay. The breakfast area was clean, even though the oatmeal did not seem to be made correctly. The guest room had a slant at the entrance, which made you feel a bit dizzy, and the decor was quite dark and dismal, but it was clean and tidy. The elevator had signs taped on them that read "Maximum 4 people", yet the capacity weight was 2500lbs....very concerning. The pool was nice but loud, and they were doing construction so there was plastic all over the walls in the first floor hall way, which was very unappealing. Plus, the only way we would be able to view our vehicle in the parking lot, was if we parked it at the hotel across the street. The gentleman (Aubrey) who checked us in was very nice, as was the lady who followed him (cannot remember her name), and the construction, the room slope, the elevator, and the parking issues could all be overlooked for future stays. HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF HOW NASTY AND CONDESENDING THE FRONT DESK CLERK LADY WAS AT CHECK OUT, WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. SHE TRULY GIVES HILTON A BAD NAME BY NOT SMILING, SPEAKING ILL OF THE GUESTS WITHIN EAR SHOT OF OTHER GUESTS, LOOKING DOWN HER NOSE AT GUESTS, AND MAKING EXCUSES FOR BEING ABSENT FROM HER POST! IT'S...

Came to stay at this Hampton inn again with my son and husband ,the first thing we saw when we pulled up was a trash can overflowing with trash falling out in the parking lot when we walked through the door there was a moldy smell also noticed there was still no snacks in the market area like are last trip here a month ago, the lady at the front desk was on the phone and didn’t greet us there was “no hey” welcome in or “hi” we waited about 5-8 min while she was on the phone finally when she finished it took 10 minutes to get us checked in,so we ended up going to get something to eat before we went in the room,we noticed mold on the fourth floor 😷 when we went in the room the bedding was had stain on it and are bath towels the same my husband went down to let front desk know but it was a different guy he was very helpful and understanding he came up and gave us fresh linens and even remade are bed and refresh are towels, the next morning we went down for breakfast around 8am we seat close to the kitchen and when we took a peek In it was dirty in there they even had food just sitting on top of there oven and that might explain why breakfast didn’t taste fresh when we asked if we could get some hotter items the lady just took the food off the top of the oven and put it on the food bar, the fruit was old the food was cold and not fresh, when I asked the guy at the front desk if there manager was there he told me no and she would be in later this was at check out, plus we had to wait for the the guy to come from the back to check out why was the manger not there in the morning? I called the next day to let May know I wanted to speak with a manger she wasn’t there again when I called the next day ,I got the same response. does the manager not have time to hear from there guest or take the time to look around the property honestly I don’t think she Really cared to talk to us , we didn’t want a refund just wanted answers last time staying here we’ll just stay at i20...
