It is a nice little mall as far as malls go. But it seems that each time we go there, some other store is closing or going out of business or moving to another location like Buckle that moved to Catclaw by where Ross & TJ MAXX are, one thing that I definitely recommend trying is DANTE'S PIZZA... It never disappoints cause the pizza slices are large and very filling, the Calzones are excellent, big, juicy, and delicious, the burgers are a tasty change as well, and the guys that run it are GREEKS,so not all pizzas pies originate from ITALY,something I was not aware of ... Only drawback is NO FREE REFILLS ON DRINKS. HEFF'S BURGERS across from the movie theater is a fun spot with live bands that play in the evening, good customer service, delicious juicy burgers, beer, and other items on the menu. The bookstore in the mall,BOOKS A MILLION has their own restrooms which is very convenient, they have all sorts of cool collector items, toys, gifts, games, all sorts of books and mags, the coffee shop makes delicious coffee and has tasty pastries. I have literally spent hours at BOOKS A MILLION and have spent over $50 each visit especially when I take my sons with me and I love going through their reduced books selection, they roll out on the portable book shelves. I leave with a lot cool books. If you have time go by the mall of Abilene and check it out. They only drawback is the mall hours they have since Covid where they close at 8pm... So, you have to go early if you want to...
Read moreAs a disappointed shopper, I have to say that the rule in this mall that prohibits anyone under the age of 18 to be in the store after 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays unless they are accompanied by someone who is 18 years or older is a complete disappointment. I mean, seriously? Who comes up with such ridiculous rules?
I understand that the mall management is trying to maintain a certain level of decorum and safety for its shoppers, but this rule just seems like a way to restrict the freedom of younger shoppers. It's not fair that teenagers who want to enjoy some leisure time with their friends or family have to be restricted by such a silly rule.
Moreover, this rule has made shopping at this mall an inconvenience for parents who have to accompany their children. Not every parent wants to go shopping, and not every parent has the time to do so. This rule just adds to their workload and causes unnecessary stress.
To add to the frustration, the mall management does not provide any alternative solutions to this rule. It's not like they have designated areas for teenagers to hang out while their parents are shopping or any sort of supervised activities that can keep them engaged. It's just a complete disregard for the younger generation.
Overall, I would not recommend this mall to anyone who wants to have a hassle-free shopping experience. This rule is not only frustrating but also insulting to teenagers who deserve the right to enjoy themselves without...
Read moreThis is a very nice mall with more than enough stores/businesses to patronize. It’s kept up well and clean. There’s plenty of seating available and quite a few places to eat. I believe it’s just one story. Very nice atmosphere. There’s even a hospital located inside. It’s Hendricks. If you ever feel like going for a walk in a cool facility, this is the place. You can just walk around, visit stores, & look. You don’t have to buy. I think it’s really unique & cool that they have a public library in the mall. It may be the only one in town. It also has a hand full of large comfortable leisure vibrating message chairs that you can pay to use for 10-30 mins at a time. I have not visited all stores in the mall yet, but someday I intend on doing a full tour of the Abilene mall to visit all stores. Maybe not in a day, but 3-4 days overtime just to open myself up to more options that may interest me. What’s really cool is that they have a few nail spas inside. I’ve only been to one of them particularly for a pedicure and it was a pretty nice customer friendly relaxing experience. Nothing really stood about this particular pedicure experience at the mall to draw me back for another experience. I do my own gel polish, mani/pedis & take care of my own nails now. It’s way less expensive when you just do it yourself. It just feels good being inside this mall. It’s well ventilated and it’s only one story.
Love,...
