After asking the cashier to slow down so that my food wouldnât get smushed by other foods, she ignored me and kept going while I tried to rearrange stuff as to save it. I found an apple similar to the one in the picture that had been damaged by her carelessness of chucking my grocery items in the cart. When I showed her the apple she damaged and asked her to dispose of it she threw it out and then rang me up including the Apple that she had just damaged. I then asked her to take it off of my bill since I didnât damage it and didnât want to pay for an apple that she had just damaged. She never said sorry and never said anything else. When I walked away from the cashiers once I went to go bag the rest of my food I found this additional damaged apple in the picture above that clearly has a cross cross mark like the metal bars in a shopping cart. There was no manager insight to talk to you or anyone else on the floor and in order to get to the cashier who had caused more damage there were at least five people in line ahead of me. I realize that they have a specific system but their system is broken and shouldnât be damaging the food that Iâm trying to purchase from you just so that you are as quick as possible. I also shouldnât have to ask a cashier to slow down so that she doesnât damage my food and I can rearrange it in the cart. Poor customer service...
Read moreI have been shopping at Aldi stores for over 3 years. Today, I visited the Aldi in Abington, PA. The store is generally well-kept and the cashiers are generally rushed, yet some are nice. I understand that the Aldi cashiers have to meet a quota, and I understand the business of that. However, sometimes the cashiers are less-than-careful with my delicate fruits and vegetables. What is the point of spending time selecting the best fruits and vegetables when there is a chance they will get bruised when the cashier throws them in my cart? With only one checkout line, I was forced to deal with Marilyn as my cashier. Marilyn is the worst of the produce-throwing offenders. She also always seems in a bad mood. Today, as she threw items in the cart, my wife tried to move the delicate foods to one side of the cart. Marilyn threw my 3 avocados into the corner of the cart. Then, she threw a 2-liter bottle of apple juice on top of them! This is just one of the many shocking experiences with Marilyn. My wife witnessed this while I was tending to my child. My wife's English isn't amazing and she is generally shy so she didn't know how to defend herself in this situation. Why should we have to defend ourselves? Again, I understand that quick checkouts saves ALDI money, but the money is saved sometimes at the cost of customer experience and...
Read moreOne thing I can categorically say about this store although it is in the "hood," it is super pristine! The majority of the workers here are blacks and about three Hispanics. The store filled with all kinds of people: Muslims, Jews, Christians, whites, blacks, and Mexicans. Inside the do not have the necessary products and goods you would have found in other stores. I was super surprised that the store was in a pristine condition, knowing that Philadelphia city is like a Third World City with garbage in every nook & cranny of the city. So, the staff at this facility deserves a hefty raise because of the way in which their employers poorly pay them. They kept this place in such a way that you could see your face on the floor like it's a mirror. The customer service is superior to the most established stores in this filthy city. These employees...
