Momoyama Ramen & Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Upper Moreland Township

This place, oh my!! I am so glad it isn't really convenient for me, because i would wind up broke and about 400lbs due to existing on nothing but their ramen-yes, it is that good. (I literally salivated thinking about it when I went to pick up my order)

The portions are perfect! I'm a big eater, and they're filling. You wont find a few morsels of goodness thrown into a watery,flavorless, broth with generic noodles- No Way! Its filling, rich, and really satisfies.

Their Bao are so light and fluffy!!

My personal favorite is the spicy curry ramen, which is better than any cold medicine you could take, or even just want something that absolutely surprises you with a rich umami flavor of spice, which feels almost like a velvety smoothness you always hear people mention on travel shows. The noodles have to be handpulled as they have a perfect chew and texture that is characteristic of the perfect ramen noodle, and the charsui is divinely spiced and so tender with the perfect balance of pork and fat. It has a healthy portion of woodear mushrooms and bamboo shoots along with fresh spinach and green onion, plus fish cake. The true stars are the spicy ground pork and char sui though. Divine! The takoyaki is amazing. Fluffy, crispy, with a delicate piece of octopus and a generous bit of bonito flakes on top. Their Katsu is crispy and perfectly cooked whether it is pork or chicken, they have mastered it. I ordered for 10 people one time, and no matter the size of the order, everything is not only correct, but absolutely perfect.

An additional note, I have only ordered to-go, and i Have never been disappointed, though the eat in restaurant is very clean and very nicely set up.

They ensure packaging won't break open in transit, and there is never a shortage of utensils, and the food is always perfect temperature.

Hungry and had a taste for ramen after talking to a friend who was out eating ramen, so I googled and found this location. I love ramen, and flavor is the make or break!!!

Parking: private lot

Atmosphere: bright average noise and clean! I loved the decor.

Service: Good. The server recommended the dish I ordered.

Drink: creamy mango soda. I love mango!! The soda came in a metal can and had a warming about causing birth defects! That gave me pause, but I'm past birthing years, so I drank, and it was delicious!!! I am going to look up this chemical, though.

Akamaru Modern Ramen

3 charsiu, 1 egg, black fungus mushrooms, garlic paste, chili paste, scallion. This was so delicious! The broth was perfect!! The meat was so tender!

Three gentlemen were at the next table, and they orfered family style dishes, and they were nice enough to let me taste it. They had a bbq dish and a tofu dish, and omg! The flavors were delightful!!!! I should have taken notes.

Overall, my food was good, and I will be back to try other options. A few days later, I had a taste for ramen! That's a good thing!!

I've gone back two other times with 2 other people, and they thoroughly enjoyed their food. My son prdered the bbq plate, and it was a large portion, and the meat was tender and packed with flavor. My son isn't into ramen, but once he tasted mine's, he kept asking me for some.

My sister had the ground pork with cabbage, and it was very flavorful and delicious. She took ramen to go, and she didn't get to taste it because her husbandate it all! He enjoyed it!

I had the garlic shrimp, and it was very garlicky and delicious!!! I did take away and ate it later that day and the leftovers were good!

Momoyamma is officially our favorite ramen spot!!

We did a Friday night dinner at Momoyama with a group of 5, including kids. The restaurant is clean, good vibes and the staff were fantastic. We did ramen, pork buns, bbq chicken and boba. The kids loved it! Our one son is 8 and doesn’t quite have the taste for the ramen yet so he did bbq chicken with rice. The chicken was tender, juicy and very flavorful. Our other son did ramen with broth and some steak but he is not into all the other accompaniments. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to his wild requests. He devoured his ramen! He immediately asked if I would bring him again. He is a super picky eater too! My husband got the spicy ramen and he crushed it. I got the ribeye steak ramen. The broth was delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and the seasoning amazing! I also got the pork buns which were delicious. The sauce on the buns was perfection. I had to try the macaroni salad and loved that as well! There are so many phenomenal dishes on the menu, the hardest part was choosing! I would say they should expand the beverage options. Boba, Japanese cream sodas, canned sodas or water are the only options. Some teas would be a great addition. I also didn’t see any sweet items to round out the meal, which would be the cherry on top.
