we ordered a log linen closet and a log vanity for the master bathroom. Once the order was purchased we waited about 2 months for the items to be crafted. It was not the amount of time that it took since it needed to be made that was the issue. The issues first started when it was time for delivery. I had put specific instructions that it need to be sent to my brothers address since I was living in an apartment at the time. On the day of delivery I checked with FedEx to see where it was being delivered and low and behold it was getting dropped off at the apartment complex I was at. Luckily I was able to store it in a garage while we waited to close on our house.
Once we moved to our house we opened the crate. The first thing that I noticed was that the vanity top had 3 predrilled holes in it for their faucet. When I placed the order I didn't include the faucet because we wanted to put in our own. However we did order the hammered copper sink with the vanity.
I then called the log furniture place ( woodland creek's secondary store) and made a complaint. The customer service person i spoke with said they will make a new top and get it sent out. I then told him that I am not a furniture builder so I wanted someone to put the top on. He then assured me it wouldn't be a problem.
After waiting another 2 months for the vanity top the shipping manager told me it would be shipped out the following Thursday. I confirmed that it was going to our new address ( since I told customer service 3 times to change everything to the new address) NOPE! Still going to my old apartment. Luckily I got that sorted out with a little work. Thursday comes and nothing! No truck, no vanity top, no phone call. At around 4pm on delivery day I called and talked to the shipping manager to ask where it was since I had been sitting around all day waiting on it and they said it wasn't going to be delivered until the following Tuesday because they still had it going to my apartment address which was in their shipping region. However my new house is 3 miles south of 94 in michigan and I was told that the dont deliver south of 94. After some persuading they agreed they could deliver it. On the following Tuesday it was delivered and installed. But we aren't finished yet...the sink didn't have a drain and it was supposed to be shipped with the top. Never got it until I nagged customer service to send it out.
Communication is lacking with this company. Multiple times I was told I would get a call back or an email and would receive anything until I reached back out. After the frustration with the shipping the second time and not getting a call, I wanted to speak to the owner so that it was known how unprofessional it was. When I finally got through to her and made my complaint all I got was, " ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. I'll look into it." Not even an apology from her. Nothing. They didn't even attempt to try and make the whole experience better. I WILL NEVER order from this company again. It was a waste of...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! My first call to the company, I spoke to Ashley. After answering a few questions, she told me she would email me. Once she did email me, her name or contact info was not included -- no sig at bottom of her email -- nothing! I replied to her email, asking her to provide it. When she did, her last name was spelled 2 different ways. She also addressed me by "hey", which is so unprofessional to a prospective customer who she doesn't know and only spoke to once!! She did the same thing the next day in another email, and when I replied with some more questions, she immediately called me back and when I answered, she said, "hey, this is Ashley". What is wrong with people??? And after she quoted me the day prior a White Glove delivery "estimate" of $680, she quickly changed to $780. This "estimate" was based on her question whether there were "straight access points". She also asked about stairs, but I replied to her "straight access points" question, to which I said "no" (thus, her "estimate" of $780). I emailed her back with more questions later that day. The next day she replied, and had copied "Mary" on her email, and also attached a questionaire, stating I needed to fill it out so they could give me an "accurate estimate" about access points for the White Glove delivery fee that she already gave an estimate of $780 the day before! Price was likely to go higher! From $680, to $780, now ??? after I filled out the questionaire (which she never mentioned to me the day prior needing to be filled out for an "accurate estimate.") She claims she did tell me! I had to tell her I didn't appreciate her calling me "Hey"; I also told her I was close to walking away from this near sale b'cuz I was getting irritated! Their loss! I even checked out their reviews, which I should have done initially, and I see complaints on the BBB, and bad reviews on YELP!! People mention this company are scammers; their long delayed delivery times; poor customer service; lack of communication; and damaged items upon arrival. (Don't believe the 5-star reviews on Google, as friends and family, and anyone else, can easily write fake reviews very easily on this platform.) I have since found another antique barnwood mfgr, I spoke to the owner himself; they build their own furniture onsite (unlike Woodland Creek), and after I sent him the 6 pieces of furniture I liked from Woodland Creek, he will be building me the exact same pieces, same look and same stain color... and for close to the same prices as Woodland Creek!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! THERE ARE OTHER PLACES YOU CAN FIND ONLINE THAT SELL THE SAME FURNITURE, or can build the pieces to match Woodland...

My personal experience: We ordered a dining table, coffee table, and end table on 3/23/2023 and paid in full at the time of purchase. The estimated lead time on each item was 12-14 weeks. I phoned them in May inquiring about an update. I was given an estimated completion of 6/28/2023 with an additional crating and shipping time of 10-14 days. This window came and went with zero correspondence from Woodland Creek, and I inquired again about an update in the third week of July. I was told that the coffee table and end table were finished, but there was an issue during the quality check of the dining room table and that it had to be sent back to the builder to fix an epoxy issue. I received no update or correspondence at all and reached back out to them on 8/7/2023. I was told and I quote "Your order will be completed tomorrow and will ship in 7-10 business days." After receiving zero correspondence, updates, shipping notifications, etc. again, I contacted them again on 8/21/2023. I was told that the same defect was found during the quality check and that in addition that, the table top had warped, quote, "into the shape of a taco" and that a new table top would have to be made with an estimated lead time of three weeks. I was offered a discount of $360. I was not satisfied with this and the discount offer was increased to $540.
After discussing this with my wife, I canceled the entire order. Then received a phone call from a warehouse manager apologizing. He offered me free white glove delivery, and the $540 discount, and guaranteed that it would ship the following Friday if I kept the order. We accepted the offer and waited. Friday came and went and I contacted them today for an update. I was informed that the entire order was canceled, with no explanation why, and no one had contacted me to tell me this.
