While the view here is spectacular, that’s unfortunately where the positives end.
My husband made reservations for our 9-year anniversary and requested a bottle of champagne be waiting for us as a surprise. The host even told him, “It will be 5 minutes so we can get set up,” which reinforced the expectation. When we were seated, the host mentioned bringing waters and “something else,” so again, we thought they were preparing the champagne. It never came. I didn’t know about the surprise, so we ordered our own drinks.
We ordered the Gnocchi ($22) and Half Chicken ($28). At the table next to us, the manager delivered a bottle of wine with a “happy anniversary” message, so my husband felt even more disappointed that his own thoughtful gesture was ignored.
Then came the worst part: one bite into my chicken, I found a hair. I sent it back and, at that point, had no interest in ordering anything else. My husband ate his lukewarm gnocchi while I considered ordering bubbles, but the server said they were out. Minutes later, the manager appeared—finally—with the pre-ordered champagne. No ice bucket, no cork, and ironically, it was the same drink I’d just been told was unavailable.
By now, my husband had finished eating, I wasn’t eating at all, but we stayed because of the open (and warming) bottle. We we under the impression we were paying for it, so we were going to drink it and salvage the evening at this point.
When the bill came on a handheld device, the server said they’d removed the chicken and the bottle “due to miscommunication.” But something still seemed off. I asked for a printed bill—and found two drinks we never ordered, adding almost $30.
The sunset was lovely, but the service, food quality, and handling of the entire evening were so poor that I wouldn’t return. - this felt like a disorganized, mismanaged mess.
An anniversary dinner should feel special—this felt like an...
Read moreSo let’s talk about this place. We had reservations on Friday night at 7:30. We got there 10 minutes early and stood in line while people argued with the hostess about seating when they didn’t have a reservation. We made ours 2 weeks prior so we didn’t have that issue but it was kind of ridiculous. We get to the front of the line and are told we have to wait for our table… whatever that’s fine. So we finally get sat. The views were absolutely beautiful. Another 10 minutes goes by and we are finally greeted by our server with water. We order our drinks. We are watching all the tables that stood in line with us already have drinks and some have appetizers. Finally 30 minutes goes by and still no drinks. We couldn’t even find our server. So we just left. We couldn’t even express our concerns to the host on our way out because they were not there. Honestly we were looking forward to coming here but I will not be recommending this place to anyone! As a server I pay attention to what’s going on in a restaurant and they dropped...
Read moreWhat was meant to be a nice dinner with a friend and our service dogs turned into an uncomfortable and disappointing experience.
Shortly after being seated, we were approached by three separate staff members, each questioning us about our service dogs. We answered politely each time, but the third server had a notably disrespectful and dismissive attitude, making it clear that our presence—and that of our clearly non-disruptive dogs—was unwelcome, despite the restaurant being nearly empty.
Feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, we decided to leave before receiving any food. We had only ordered drinks and I had barely finished half of mine. However, the restaurant still charged us for the full meal, which we never received. I am currently disputing the charge with American Express and have willingly covered the drink I consumed.
I’ve also reached out to the appropriate service dog organization to ensure the staff receives education on ADA regulations and respectful conduct toward individuals with...
