I’m glad that I’m not the only one on here complaining about the poor customer service and lack of common courtesy toward their customers, allow me to explain the horrendous experience that I had today. It all began as soon as I walked directly to the register where there were two cashiers one was with a customer meanwhile the other one was playing “sick” and started coughing all over the register (hazard to public safety) she was coughing and asked her coworker if she could leave the register and left the register alone and left me waiting for the only available, I waited about 15 minutes and for the sick employee returned to her register because the other cashier was working at a very slow pace it took that long for me to even come up to the register. When I gave the cashier my item to return she made me fill a handwritten piece of paper with my personal information (very unprofessional but that’s another topic) she then asked me to put my card in the machine to get my money refunded but I had originally paid with Apple Pay so I assumed I would just tap the monitor and get my money back well apparently their technology is outdated and you need a physical card for returns so she then said she couldn’t do my return, when I asked why she said it had to be refunded on a physical card so I said no worries ill run to my car and grab it, well as you might predict she rudely said what do you want me to do about it I said I want you to wait for me to grab my card as I wasn’t made aware of the refund process before hand, she rudely said you will have to get back in line and I said I don’t see why I have to get back in line when I already waited a long time to get helped and I don’t see why I have to wait some more, she made it seem like it was my fault and it was my own problem that I had to deal with. Well personally I’ve never been treated this way in a retail setting and it seemed like the cashier did not care about her job or the representation she owes to the company. Finally when I ran to my car and came back inside with my card I went up to the register and she had in fact kick me out of the line and made me go through public humiliation when the ground of women who were waiting in line continued to yell at me and forced me to get behind them, this review is about the customer service but i should mention the disgusting behavior of all the customers who were in line. Another reason not to visit this place is the type of clientele they bring in their stores are just as rude and heinous as...
Read morePlease remove the star. I was racially discriminated against by Kelsey at this location. Kelsey and another customer were badgering an African woman about accidentally cutting in line. They continue this for about two minutes or so. I was in the middle of checking out with a different member of your staff and I asked if there was a manager I could speak with, Kelise responded I’m the manager how can I help you. I said oh no that’s ok is there someone else, Kelsey stated I can help you what do you need. I ask if she could stop being rude life is too short. She began to yell at me about the woman cutting in line and she will stick up for her customers “who were white”, (aren’t we all customers?)She then told me to get out of the store, I told her you have no grounds to ask me to leave, she then stated your are refusing? I’m calling 911. I stated on what grounds? She called 911 and told him that I was aggressive and argumentative and I was refusing to leave. The officers that responded were white and stated I had to leave. I asked on what grounds? They stated cause she told me too. Well here is the law:
As a business owner, you don't have the legal right to refuse service based on religion, skin color, sex, physical conditions not within the customer's control or nationality. If you do so, you are guilty of unlawful discrimination. Discriminatory behavior could make you and your business vulnerable to a lawsuit.
Under federal anti-discrimination laws, businesses can refuse service to any person for any reason, unless the business is discriminating against a protected class. At the national level, protected classes include: Race or color. National origin or citizenship status.Mar 21, 2017
I really can’t explain how I feel because everyone wants to say in 2022 racial discrimination doesn’t exist. I am pressing charges against her and rainbow as a company. This behavior is unacceptable. The way I was treated was shameful. You should close down . I am not taking this lightly at all. I was publicly humiliated while I was purchasing items from your store. Needless to say I asked them to void everything. I will never forget this for the rest of my life. This was uncalled. I will not rest until I have justice! There will...
Read moreNormally, as soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted by at least one of the associates. That wasn't the case this week. On Tuesday, I had just gotten out of work and was super excited to catch Rainbow open before they closed. My relative is visiting this weekend so I wanted to quickly grab a few things. I found multiple items, and didn't try anything on. Meanwhile, all you hear is one of the associates miserably and loudly yelling "STORE IS CLOSING IN 10 MINUTES!!!!" I was the only customer in there, and another associate was closer to me. I feel that all that had to be done was to approach me and quietly inform me the store was closing instead of sounding so appalled that a customer was inside the store during business hours. I realize I was in there right before they were closing, that's why I didn't try anything on and I spent $50 on items I didn't even know would fit. When I checked out not a word was said to me other than here's your receipt. I was not rude, I didn't bother anybody and this is how you get treated. A simple "hi" and "goodbye" would have sufficed, especially during business hours. Hey better yet, instead of yelling the store is closed, may I suggest you tell the customer gently you're closing and perhaps slowly start turning out the lights? I understand what its like to work with the public. Work on that, please! Believe it or not, the attitudes of employees is a big reason why people shop at one store...
