Arnold Motor Supply — Local services in Adel

Used them to get an engine block machined since Arnold's owns a few shops. Dealt with a lot of mediocre work and lack of communication. I was told at one point they didn't know where my block was at all and took about a month to get them to even locate it. They had my block for about 6-7 months total this year and they last stretch of it they told me multiple times it was being worked on and when I finally got it back it had not been touched at all. When I asked if I could get my money back for the work that was poorly done I was told it wasn't their problem I have to go after the shop that did the work, and then they could not tell me who that even was.... the whole company is pathetic...

James was awesome, called them up panicking looking for a part. My a/c tensioner pulley failed along with the belt. I was staying at an AirBnb in town with my family, kids dog etc. All the shops I called locally were unable to look at my ‘02 Tahoe until the following week due to the heat and high volume of cars to be worked on. So I dug out my tools diagnosed it as the pulley, called up James he said he had a kit with a new pulley and belt, lifetime warranty. He pulled it for me , I picked it up, took it back to my AirBnb and installed it. A/c works awesome I’m back on the road and we’re headed to Oklahoma on Friday!Thank you...

During a recent major snow storm, after spending a lifetime cleaning my car off, I hopped in my car, started it up and turned the windshield wipers on. Instantly my wiper breaks off and goes flying. Ugh - 7:30 am and now what? Called local auto repair place and they said to go to Arnold Motor Supply and they would even put the new wipers on for you. I arrived at Arnold Motor Supply and was greeted with cheerful smiles and a joke. They were so helpful! Looked up what I needed, picked them out for me and replaced them just like I was told. Was back on the road before...
