Don't ever go to this location currently contacted and cannot miss a dose of his meds. The store manager was concerned and apologized for this. He asked to follow up with the doctor asked where we were going. I advised him Dr.McHose in Dallas Center is our physicians office. Once I talked with Sherri the NP at Dr.McHose's office and explained what happened and the events that lead up to the food poisoning and what we were doing as a family she advised me that in fact it was food poisoning from Subway in Adel and to continue with fluids and that if the kiddos continue to be dehydrated to go to the ER for IVs and more help with Zofran and further medications since that's what we have prescribed. We all are more concerned about my son who has epilepsy. By him throwing up his medications for seizures means seizures and the possibility of having a grand mal seizure.
Please keep us in your prayers for our little boy. When I called back to speak to the store manager he was gone but the assistant manager answered. I found out he was the one there who served my order to my daughter and I. I asked him how this would make him feel since I didn't get a call to see how we are doing and he replied by stating he would be upset. I then asked how old he was and he said 25. I then asked how he would feel I'd this was his son. He was bad, but he was busy. I then hung up. Never ever buy from this Subway unless you want to get food poisoning, and potentially end up in the hospital.
The only person who seemed very concerned was the store manager and that's because he knew that this is a serious issue with his assistant manager. He needs to be fired tomorrow. No questions asked. Trust me. I will let the store manager know his attitude and lack of empathy towards his mistake that cost a family of 4 not only 2 days of being sick, but the worries of a son with epilepsy of having a seizure that could put in...
Read moreI'm editing my review from 5 to 1.
We've always had just your regular, average experience here, until June 10th, 2023. We were in town for a dance recital and my husband and son stopped to get 4 sandwiches and 3 cookies, with the total being approximately $25. The employee then said he forgot to charge my husband for the cookies, and that he canceled the transaction and his total was actually approximately $27. June 11th, my husband realized he was actually charged twice and the first transaction was never canceled. We were back in Adel for the second day of recital, so he stopped in and explained the situation. The employees said it happens with that particular employee often and they took all of his information andour phone numbers so the manager could handle it Monday. We never heard anything.
I went back in with my son a few weeks later when I happened to be in Adel on a weekday and asked to speak with a store manager, who again apparently wasn't there. The employees took all of our information again and promised it would be handled.
It's been a month since I stopped in. We never received a call or any contact whatsoever. We do not live in Adel so it's kind of a hassle to hound them.
Guess they needed the $25 more than we did, or any other money we or our friends and family that do live in Adel would have spent in the future because we are all...
Read moreThis review is not a reflection of the employees... I stopped in because I received coupons in the mail and was doing some work in the area. When I arrived at the store, I started my order, and then found a sign stating "We are refusing coupons due to rising food costs"... Immediately stopped my order and walked out.
Subway is running a scam that has been documented thoroughly, by sending you coupons in the mail to get you in the store where each franchise can reserve the right to decline coupons. That is the SCAM!
I hope people recognize shady business tactics like this and stop spending their hard earned money with this company. Big businesses like this need to be shut down for trying to manipulate the general public.
To the employees, I apologize for writing this as it's not a reflection of your customer service locally. There are alot of employers hiring offering far better wages and benefits, you don't have to work for scammers. Everyone is dying for more...
