Having seen Video Audio Center’s commercials for years, I decided to limit my recon to the local Conejo Valley and check this store out. My research was narrowed down to a Sony XBR 65” or 55.” First recon visit (solo) was with mgr Gregg. His extensive knowledge of the pros and cons of OLED TV’s was really helpful. I returned a second time a few days later, this time with my wife. Asst. mgr Nick assisted us and was so responsive to our many follow up questions. We were sold on the SONY XBR A9G, but couldn’t decide whether to go 55” or 65.” Nick and Gregg assured us we had a 2 week test drive and could always swap one for the other if we weren’t happy. Well, we chose the 65” and are SO SO THRILLED with the purchase! It was delivered and set up the day after the purchase. This entire TV purchase was an excellent experience. I especially appreciate Nick and Gregg being so patient and helping me decide whether to keep my old sound system or switch to a sound bar to accompany the new TV. Can’t say enough about the above and beyond customer service vibe from initial recon questioning through post delivery fine tuning, setup experience and questions. Bought a 4k Sony 75" TV and it has been nothing but trouble. When we bought it, we were told that if we bought the extended warranty and ANYTHING ever went wrong with the TV, they would bring us a replacement ASAP. Word of advice, NEVER BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY, IT IS USELESS. The TV has had and reported (to Sony) problems over 10 times and replace with a "re-certified" one by Sony once. It has a 90 day replacement on it from the delivery date. Now, over 60 days into that, we have reported multiple problems again and they are trying to make us wait until the 90 days has past so they don't have to replace it with a new one. The dealer has been no help and says that Sony has to take care of this until their warranty runs out.... So much for the extended warranty speech from the dealer. When the extended warranty kicks in after the first year, they would send someone out to repair it. That is not what we were told. My suggestion is to not buy ANYTHING from this dealer if you expect an warranty service. They won'y do anything to help you and you can get the same or better deal from Best Buy or Frys. I hope this helps someone from making the same mistake as we did. Also, this is the second TV we have bought and had problems with that one too, it was a Samsung.
