Made the drive out to Two Doughs because I’d found them on social media and have been following them for awhile, the pizzas looked fantastic! We ordered a bit of everything, here’s my breakdown: The meatballs appetizer came with 3 large meatballs that were very good, not great, but loved the sauce they came in. I wish there had been two slices of toasted bread to mop up the sauce with. The chopped salad was tasty, loved the Italian vinaigrette that came on it and the salami, and the rainbow carrots were pretty and had lots of flavor. When it first came to our table I thought that we’d received the wrong salad as everything in it wasn’t chopped as in chopped salads I’ve had before. The margherita thin crust pizza was good, I loved the char that the crust had and the taste of the crust was fantastic - I’m a crust gal (not crusty, I just love the crust), and this one was crunchy and chewy, not soggy, think but not too thin. The rest of the pizza was good, but the crust was the star. We got a slice of the spicy pepperoni Sicilian to try. At $7, it was a pretty big slice that’s cut diagonally. This was my favorite. The crust was delicious, lots of crunch to it yet soft, light and chewy on the inside, and the pepperoni is really, really good. The ricotta and spicy honey made this slice’s taste my favorite of the day. I found the prices on par with similar places around LA, and let’s face it, everything is expensive. We chose to dine in, and it looked like they had a good beer selection and a handful of wine if you choose to sit at one of their tables (there aren’t many, and we saw a lot of takeout orders go through the door while we were there). Overall it was worth the drive to try it, and I’d stop back in again if I was in the neighborhood, or before seeing a show at The...
Read moreDear Two Doughs Management,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your restaurant, which I believe involved both poor customer service and discriminatory behavior.
During my visit last night, I requested a to-go cup, but despite cups being available in the back, I was not given one. Additionally, I encountered a rude manager—an older Caucasian woman with a ponytail and glasses—who not only told me to leave the restaurant but also questioned my dietary choices. When I explained that I am a vegetarian, she informed me that the only dish available for the spicy pizza contained pork. This interaction felt disrespectful and dismissive.
Furthermore, I overheard two staff members—one with brown hair in a ponytail and another Latina employee—making inappropriate comments about me returning to the Middle East. I am not from the Middle East, and I found this remark both offensive and completely uncalled for.
The combination of these incidents leads me to believe that I experienced racial discrimination during my visit. I will be reporting this matter to the Better Business Bureau and other consumer advocacy groups, as I believe it is important for the public to be aware of such behavior. I will be going to several news stations about this and informing everyone I know in Thousand Oaks, Simi, and Agoura Hills.
I hope you take this matter seriously and address the inappropriate conduct of your...
Read moreStopped here the other day while visiting from New Jersey, I was told by a few people if I want a good pizza, this is where I should go and I have to agree with them. We got the margarita pie and a side of meatballs. Meatballs were delicious and the sauce was very very good. We got a margarita pizza, and it did not disappoint, the crust was flavorful, nice char, cheese and sauce were on point, I gave it a very high score on the One Bite app , they really know what they’re doing here and when I come back to California I will be stopping in again. For dessert we got the brown butter cookie with ice cream, Absolutely delicious !! I’m not saying we have the best pizza in New Jersey, but we have many really good spots that I frequent . I would put this up there with some of them. Great job...
