My husband and I have been shopping at Aldi over a year and have had a great experiences. However, there was ONE time we thought we did not have good experience in the long run. We ended up having a great experience in spite of what happened. I am about to explain why it turned out to be a great experience after all and why we stay with Aldi. Okay, here we go.
There was one time we bought sour cream and we found out it was plain yogurt instead. Their sour cream cost 99 cents. I returned it, got my money back and a replacement. I was expecting to pay for the replacement. Surprisingly, they have a double garrantee and that made it possible that I did not have to pay for it again. I walked out of the store feeling very satisfied. I have not had another experience like that again and do not expect it again. It was such a little annoyance anyways.
Aldi has great prices and great customer service. Here are two examples of their great prices and one example of customer service. Their chicken leg quarters are amazingly 89 cents a lb at regular price and $2 off boneless chicken breast with a regular price of $2.29. I ended up getting two packages of 3 for a total rounding up a total of 60 cents a lb. Aldi has such great prices with great tasting food. On top of Aldi's great prices, there customer service is excellent. If a customer realized he/she forgot something by the time they are in line at the register the cashier will gladly get someone to bring it to the customer if they are not during there hectic hours.
Adi prices are lower than Kroger, Bi-Lo, Walmart etc. My husband and I do not shop for food anywhere else, because we save so much with great customer service in spite of ONE small annoyance that turned out...
Read moreI normally have a great experience at this Aldi. It's my favorite Aldi. But this certain cashier made it my worst experience as of yet at this Aldi. I wanted to get some things for my family because I'm working a double so I had some time in between. I was waiting in line for my turn to pay for my groceries and there was a young girl getting some things and she managed to squeeze herself up to right behind me and then the cashier says I ask you a favor can she go for some like well I've got to get back to work but okay hurry up. So I'm getting my stuff up there and getting closer to the cashier and I just mentioned that I don't think it's really fair that people just because they have less than other people feel that they have a right to go ahead of people I've waited in line I paid my dues to get up here you don't have up five items or less aisle cashier. So after I said that she got a attitude with me and I bought up outside mat from the garden center and then she wants me to read the numbers off and I'm like you and she goes can you move that please and just rude. Throwing my stuff in the cart with such disrespect for my items that I'm purchasing during my hamburger and hot dog buns so that they're all in disarray in the package separated from the tops and bottoms. And then when I'm done she takes my cart and whips it over towards the counter where you put your stuff in a bag and pulls the other one up next to her just such disrespect for me and I'm probably old enough to be her mother. But outside of that unprofessional, disrespectful and...
Read moreLove Aldi's and have generally had a great experience at the one in Aiken, so it is saddening to find myself writing a bad review about this place. I went around 10 am on Tuesday May 6th for a quick round of supplies for dinner. I walked past this female clerk folding boxes, who looked up at me. Then past a male employee quietly stocking. As I got past him the female clerk stops what she is doing and walks past him attempting to whisper "looks like who done it and why". When the male employee did not respond she got right beside me turned back and said "did you hear me. He responded with "ummhuh" and went on doing his work. She proceeded past me and disappeared. When I got to the register two others customers were in front of me. She laughed and talked them up. When it got to me she said nothing. No hello. She rung me up, refusing to even look me in the face. She coldly told me my total and I politely asked if the card reader worked. She said no and I checked out and left. Not sure if this is typical Aldi, but if you have time to critique attire you should at least be bold enough to look the individual in the face. Didn't know skirts that actually cover thigh and a t-shirt...
