I typically enjoy Chipotle, but my recent visit was so frustrating that I felt the need to leave a review. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt unwelcoming. All the chairs were piled up, making it seem like they were closing early—even though they still had 2.5 hours left until closing time.
We stood at the front of the line for several minutes while two employees worked on previous orders without even acknowledging us. Meanwhile, two other employees were dancing in the background, completely ignoring customers. When someone finally decided to take our order, he simply stared at us instead of clarifying who he was speaking to, making the interaction unnecessarily awkward.
The food stations were a mess, with ingredients mixed together, and when I politely asked for the grilled vegetables to be removed from my chicken, the employee gave me a look of annoyance. It also seemed like they were trying to stretch the remaining chicken, as my husband received only five tiny pieces in his burrito and had to pay extra for a double portion just to get a reasonable amount.
The worst part was the way they handled his burrito—it was rolled so tightly that it burst open, and instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, the employees just laughed. One of them attempted to "fix" it by covering it with another tortilla and wrapping it in three aluminum foil, which led to the entire thing falling apart when we tried to eat it.
The unprofessional behavior and lack of care from the staff were incredibly disappointing. I understand that every place can have an off day, but this level of disregard for customers and food quality is unacceptable. Definitely not the experience...
Read moreI was on my way to Diablos to get quesadillas but decided to stop here first to see if they had a specific item on their menu. My first impression was that the dining area was clean — but completely empty at 7 p.m. One employee was on break, and I noticed about three or four more behind the counter. Before I even reached the counter, the staff member taking orders asked how she could help me. Once she confirmed they didn’t carry the item I was looking for, I asked how big their quesadillas were. She showed me, and I decided to order three to go. That’s when she told me quesadilla orders must be placed online. I asked why, and she simply said, “It’s our policy.” So I asked, “What if I were planning to dine in?” She replied that I would still need to place the order online. I stepped back, pulled out my phone, and motioned as if I was going to place an online order, and she said, “Yes, you can place it now.” I asked, “You have no other customers — why can’t I just tell you what I want?” Her response: “Sorry sir, it’s our policy.” I could understand if they were busy, but in an empty restaurant this policy just seems ridiculous. So I said, “Well, I guess Diablos will get my business,” and walked out. As I left, she sarcastically said, “Have a good day.” I ended up spending $55 at Diablos. To me, that could have easily justified making an exception to this policy — that amount probably covers three employees’ wages for an hour. But apparently, breaking policy would require them to actually work. Common sense really isn’t so common anymore — and apparently, it’s a crime to allow employees to...
Read moreI usually order from this location if not once a week at least once every two weeks. This is is the second time in a row I have ordered from here and they through the food together sloppy and also drenched both burrito bowls in hot salsa which I didn't order on my order at all. The order was two identical burrito bowls with steak (extra portions) and neither of them were that of which I was charged for or that I ordered. I also ordered a large queso cheese dip with chips and the size that was provided was that of a small or regular I suppose but not a large by far. Also the chips were very stale as well. The bowls were filled to the rim with white rice not brown rice that I ordered. But if I wanted an all white rice bowl this would have been the perfect go to dish. However again this is not what I ordered paid for or expected from this reputable restaurant. Service is getting worse slowly but surely over time. It gas definitely declined over the last...
