Yo Sushi — Restaurant in Alameda

Besides being the best sushi around and not expensive either usually to get really good sushi it's expensive this place is not. The service is beyond reproach the place itself is absolutely spotless and all the bathrooms. I could never say nothing about this place most places I review I've been going to since they opened because I like them so most cases I give reviews for are going to be five stars although there was a sushi restaurant that caught me off guard in Pleasant Hill there was a sushi place that I didn't like very much because I hadn't been there food wasn't bad but very expensive really small portions I was really hungry and I asked the guys at I got Teriyaki cuz I figured that's the biggest and I said you know six foot is looking to fill me up I'm hungry. I'll never stray from Yo Sushi anymore every time I do I regret it. My favorite is a lion Prince or The Lion King and all the others they're all good but these are ones we have to wait 20 minutes for still has the wrong tuna red tuna and it's cooked a really good combination. You never care if you ask for extra soy sauce like a lot of places do or extra anything you want extra ginger they give you a whole damn jar of it almost.

It's very rare these days to find customer service at this level. I've been going there for years now and when they do get a new cashier person there always just as nice as the last one so they definitely put some thought into it. If you love sushi as places usually busy but still only takes a few minutes to get your sushi you don't have to wait a half-hour for there anything like what some places that charge so much more The Lion King which is one of the biggest things is only $9 and some odd sense. Ive been here a hand full of times because its really close to my house .

But every other visit , its always hot and cold .

One visit would be amazing service , waitress is nice and helpful and the food is yum .

Then the next visit , the waitress servicing us will have a stank attitude and the food will be super mediocre . Ordered my son a Chicken Katsu plate and his plate had legit a whole 8 pieces .. it was really disappointing .

This last time , I thought i would change it up & I ordered pick up , almost $75.00 worth of food . when I get home , I was VERY disappointed .

Ordered 2 Bento Boxes , Two Rolls & Shrimp Tempura . Open the Tempura box to see a WHOLE palm sized of rice given with the meal ? I was really disappointed!

The bento boxes ... we ordered Chicken katsu & Salmon Teriyaki ...... pictures show how ridiculously paper thin the chicken was ....

The prices are nice which is what got me ... but the food quality and quanity is definitely not becoming worth it .

I really wanted to love this place but after so many hot and cold trips eating inside and the food just getting worse and worse in quality - i won't be eating there anymore . it makes me sad because I want to support this small business but it's super hard to do so when the good is just not...

I first came here during the pandemic and lockdown. I picked up sushi and I was surprised. I ordered again, from door dash this time and the quality was still amazing despite the higher premium price because of the service.

Since then I have eaten here on several occasions and as a sushi lover all my life, I am so happy that I can come here to eat some quality nigiri sushi. The raw fish is always fresh, delicious, tasty, shokugeki no soma level good and a fair price.

My favorite is salmon nigiri, super California roll, three amigos, hamachi nigiri, and saba nigiri. Always delicious and never disappoint.

I did have their ramen once and it was... Not good. It was the pork ramen and it made me regret my choice and wished I bought sushi instead.

I still come here but for sushi, tempura, and miso soup only. Other than that, I am good. Thank you to the owners and workers that make delicious and reasonably priced sushi. Your service is always friendly and I will be coming...
