My recent experience with Denali ATV Adventure was nothing short of exhilarating. Nestled in the heart of Alaska's rugged wilderness, this tour offers a unique blend of adventure, natural beauty, and expertly guided exploration that is perfect for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.
Tour Highlights:
Scenic Views:The trails weave through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Denali. From towering mountains to lush forests and pristine rivers, every turn reveals a new, stunning vista. Well-Maintained ATVs: The equipment provided was top-notch. The ATVs were clean, well-maintained, and easy to handle, even for beginners. Safety briefings and gear were thoroughly covered, ensuring a secure ride.
Knowledgeable Guides:Our guides (Rocket and Tater) were exceptional. Their deep knowledge of the local flora and fauna, as well as the history of the area, added immense value to the trip. They were also very attentive to the group's needs and skill levels.
Wildlife Encounters: We were fortunate to spot a variety of wildlife, including moose and even some ptarmigan. The guides ensured we maintained a safe distance while allowing us ample time to observe and photograph these magnificent creatures.
The tour begins with a comprehensive safety briefing and a short training session to familiarize participants with the ATVs. Once everyone was comfortable, we set off on our adventure. The trail offered a mix of terrains, from open fields and rugged paths to river crossings, providing a thrilling ride throughout.
One of the standout moments was reaching a high vantage point where we could see the vast expanse of the Denali National Park. The sight was awe-inspiring and provided a perfect backdrop for photos. We took several breaks along the way, during which our guides shared fascinating stories about the region’s history and ecosystem.

Read moreWe did a tour on 9/2/24 and I have to say I was disappointed in one of your employees “shark something”. She lacked customer service skills, verging on being rude. She also was not concerned with our safety (however all of the other employees were very good). As we were beginning, there was a group of 5, we were the last, my wife was nervous so we were going slow. She stopped the group and basically ordered me to keep up. No: please, thank you, sir, “it my job to get you all back safe”. We got in the grove and drove as fast as it was safe. However I have led dozens of small vehicle convoys through rough terrain & know when you have more than 2 vehicles you have “accordion effect”. Theoretically the following distances go out the window. the lead vehicle has to taper back on speed on straight away after tight turns to allow following vehicle to catch up. She must have gunned it coming out of tight turns. She LEFT US TWICE on the trail where we could see 100 yards ahead but no one in sight. We went full throttle & still couldn’t catch up. We had to stop since we didn’t know if on correct trail. Luckily the young man concerned with our safety told us we were in the right trail. PS, in case no one has told you, following the taillights works for the first 15 minutes then they are covered in mud & a lot harder to follow vehicles in rough terrain. Unlike the young man who was nothing but nice at the frequent stops, she never checked on us or anyone I could see. In summary, I would have given the experience 1 star if it wasn’t for the guys I met in your operation. Maybe it was late in the season & she was bored but I felt more of an afterthought than a...
Read moreOur tour got cut short due to flooding through a basin we had to cross. Denali ATV Adventures (DAA) refunded everyone the difference of the 3.5 hour ride versus the 2.5 hour ride due to this and I think the everyone appreciated their effort to offset the ride being cut short.
Before getting in to my review I'd also like to disclose that we were there in late August and although I've never been there before, and therefore I have no idea what we might have been able to see, I presume that some cloud cover blocked some views.
The tour guides were great, an overall good group of guys that were friendly and that did provide some informative information about the areas that we viewed. The equipment was in good working order and appeared well maintained as well.
As for the tour/ride and based on what we experienced the ride itself fell a little short of our expectations. As I said I can only speculate on the potential of the ride had there been better viewing conditions and not knowing what the unreachable trails had to offer.
I don't want to discourage anyone from booking with DAA, but I do encourage you to contact them and evaluate the weather and trail conditions prior to arrival or any cancellation deadline should one exist.
If traveling the area again I might book another tour if conditions were right...maybe 60% for it.
Guides thank you for your efforts, you all did a good job. Honestly we walked away saying that the guides were good, they just didn't have enough to work with in the way of trails. Again...this is based on our isolated experience with mother nature not...
