Play Palace — Local services in Alaska

We really wanted to enjoy Play Palace—this was our third visit since they opened—but unfortunately, today’s experience was disappointing.

The biggest issue was the environment. The music was extremely loud and included explicit language and sexual themes, which didn’t feel appropriate for a children’s play space. Additionally, a staff member was using the overhead microphone to discipline their child, which was disruptive and unprofessional.

There were also behavioral concerns. The staff member’s child was pushing other children off the ladder to the slide and pretending to shoot our child, which created an unsafe atmosphere.

On top of that, we noticed a few safety hazards, including uncovered electrical outlets and gaps in the floor covering that could pose tripping risks.

One positive aspect is that they check temperatures upon arrival, which is a good health precaution. However, overall, the experience left us concerned about safety and supervision, making it difficult to fully enjoy our visit.

Edited to add- we did stay the hour we paid for our safety concerns did not peak until later...

Play Palace here in Anchorage This Business is Top Tier. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, kid friendly , Beautiful & fun place for your kids to explore & enjoy their time as kids. This is definitely the place for you. I Highly recommend all parents/guardians to bring their kiddos here. Brought my 5 year old daughter here for the first time & she absolutely loved every single minute of it. Pricing is extremely affordable for indoor play area along with different options if you would like to host a kid event for all occasions. My daughter absolutely loves the Play Palace and the toys. We utilize the $12 for 2 hr play on Tuesdays and it’s plenty of time for her!

She makes friends (tries too, she’s only 2) and the owners are thee absolute friendliest.

It is extremely CLEAN which I love, and it’s got enough space that neither her nor I feel overwhelmed when there’s a couple handfuls of people there.

We feel so comfortable going into the Play Palace and never worry about being judged or someone bullying my little one.

If you need a place that’s safe, secure, and friendly THE PLAY PALACE is the place for you and your littles.

Their hours of operation are thee best too if you’re not an early bird! It’s convenient with food shops a couple doors down (coffee as well).

We’ve been a handful of times and will continue to go back.
