I would have gave it more stars cuz I loved the displays and I finally got some answers to some specimens I found. I also found some clubs In interested in. The place was awesome truthfully. Then of course like every time I enter this property. Boom, there is my entourage. (Security guards) we decided to leave. Not because we are doing anything wrong. Because they make my visits uncomfortable presently. The security guard who was watching us was too overweight to walk the places we were going through. He followed us on his golf cart all the way to the entrance. It was locked so he made us use the entrance on the other side of the parking lot. Even though we were just there as a patron of geology like everyone else. This is the treatment I get every time I come to this place. All my friends have seen this and now my brother who was there with me. Even my children have seen this. I have never did anything wrong anytime I enter this property. Yet I still get this treatment every single time. I am a working citizen that doesn't get in trouble, I pay my taxes and work hard for my money. Every time I go here to spend money I get this type of treatment. Why? What have I done to deserve this? I'll tell you, I like going to the casino there. If it wasn't the only place to leisurely have fun with my family and friends around me. I would never return here. Guess to them I'm a guy who means nothing even though I have spent $1000's in this property over 40 some years. When I was growing up I really loved this place. We all do. I am completely disappointed and embarrassed of this place. So disappointed. Yet they do nothing to fix it every time I go. My name is Silviano Gonzales. I have 218,000 people who read my reviews. Why would anyone do this to someone who obviously a patron? Maybe they just don't care. Do you? Let them know my compatriot's and voice your opinions. Maybe for once I can get the treatment I deserve...."Thought...
Read moreThe numismatic displays were phenomenal. From early US coins and notes to Casino chips and Abraham Lincoln Medals there were memorable history lessons in each of the thirty exhibit cases. The local coin club will have members on hand throughout the event to answer questions and are administering a People's Choice Award vote for favorite exhibit. Once the ballot is cast the voter can choose 1 free coin of their choice from buckets of Foreign Coins representing 4 different countries. Needless to say voting...
Read moreI attended the ABQ Gem and Mineral Show here. The venue was spacious, but had a very warehouse-y feel. There were some areas where the ventilation was so loud it drowned out conversation. Parking outside was $7 and the spots were very narrow. The parking lot was a bit chaotic and the same woman managed to cut me off twice while I was trying to exit. Would prefer the event to be held at a different venue in the future, perhaps one without a...
