This place has both pros and cons to it. Ever since it reopened, the machines all seem new and in working order, place is for the most part clean, and if you can deal with a few other patrons who don't have the courtesy to use less than 12 dryers with only two shirts or so per dryer on free dryer day, than this is the place for you. The selfishness of other customers seems to take place earlier in the morning, so I try to go later in the day. For the super hot washes, and absolutely free dryers two days a week, I am willing to endure a slight wait to dry. Now for the most part, there is a man who seems to be the owner/manager. He is very friendly with a select few customers, and manages to tolerate the rest of us, without being rude or discourteous for the most part. Except for tonight. It seems the main guy needed a night off, and had a couple of young girls (18-20 years old?) take over the place for the night. This was my first encounter with them, and it was not a good impression. This may have been a first job for these thot-nuggets, who knows, but they could learn a thing or two about customer service and politeness. Now, mind you, the sign posted on the front door states "last wash at 9:00pm" I happen to bring my stuff through the door at 8:20pm, and was greeted with a "OH HELL NO!" from one of these little girls. They proceeded to disrespect and talk smack, in Spanish, I'm sure thinking that they were safe by doing so. However, as Caucasian as I may appear, I do understand, so I let them continue, to my amusement. Now these two girls were not slaving away, dripping blood, sweat, and tears to keep the place running. They had several friends, a few males and another female "helping out?" by walking around, making everyone feel rushed and uncomfortable, while they stared everyone down. This group of kids loudly joked inappropriately, cackling and cursing (every other word) and complained about how late they were having to....ahem....work? If you consider "work" to be wiping a machine then texting, sweeping a square foot then texting, wiping another machine then texting, jokingly locking eachother out of the building and banging on the glass to be let back in, etc. I was made very aware how badly I had inconvenienced them by being present, and by putting my money in those machines. As I folded my last shirt, I was approached and told I had to "get out within ten minutes"... Followed by an "Im sorry"...which was probably caused by my uncontrollable expressions. I'm not too sure if it was a threat or an apology, and I feel bad for the other couple of customers who were still drying their clothes. Who knows what their fate was as the 10 minute limit approached. Maybe the main guy shouldn't leave the business to be run by imbeciles, who's Snapchat game is strong and shouldn't be interrupted by cash paying folk like myself. But hey, at least I got to use the...
Read moremachines look new and clean. have been there a couple times and i haven't had any issues with the machines not working. i can always find a couple machines to use... it doesn't feel overly crowded. parking is easy to find.
i haven't used the folding areas, but it seems like it's easy to find counter space and they seem clean. there are chairs, vending machines, tvs and lots of available rolling carts.
subtract two stars ... their sign says "last load at 9 pm" so i feel it's safe to assume they would stay open for at least another hour since it takes about 25 min for a wash and about 30-40 min to dry depending on your load and the temp you use.
the attendant says since there was no one in before 9 they are considered closed/the door locks right at 9 automatically (??). but my clothes were in the drier at 8:40 (i set an alarm and went to run a quick errand...a reasonable thing to do. I've used numerous laundromats). i came back at 9:25 and door was locked. small panic! (-1 star)
attendant had to open it and i was still able to get my clothes. she seemed bothered but was nice enough. whatever. i was a bit irritated (-1 star) because of the misleading sign. lesson learned... make sure you're out of there by 9 despite what the sign says. 😒
(if you are the owner, change your sign or abide by the...
Read moreMy favorite laundromat! It's a popular spot because the place is always clean, machines work great and you can't beat the price! But even when it's busy I never have any trouble finding open machines or countertop space because they've got a ton. Lots of different sizes to choose from and even a bunch of those jumbo ones to wash the whole house worth at once.
The employees are always friendly & smiling and they'll let you use the restroom if you are a customer. It smells good in there and I can't complain about the temperature, which must be hard to regulate with all those dryers, but I guess they have good ventilation.
I've never had any trouble with their change machine and the large parking lot helps with being able to find an open spot. Inside are many large trash cans, benches & stools to sit on, some vending machines and an utility sink that is handy.
It's a good location because you can walk over to nearby businesses while waiting on your laundry - I feel safe enough there to leave my clothes in the machines for a few minutes while I pick up some groceries or grab a bite to eat.
There are quite a few unhoused individuals in the area that might ask you for money, but I've never encountered anyone who seemed dangerous or threatening or made me feel like I couldn't say...
