When I arrived and went to check in, a number of police cars arrived and a policeman entered the lobby where I was standing. They were looking for someone who was staying at the hotel.
The policeman was friendly to me, and made small talk, we both seemed to come from the same state. The employee behind the desk apparently did not like me talking to him, and when I joked to the cop that I knew that he had not come for me this time, the woman acted like she was unsure if she wanted me in the hotel. A little later in the conversation she told me that she wanted 'no problems' from me.
I had thought to stay longer but once in the room there were ants and so I decided to stay no longer than two days. On my first day I did not know about the ants and so I had left a closed bottle with orange juice on the table (there was no fridge). Within a few hours there was an army of small ants on the bottle, table, and wall marching around, of which I have photos. Apparently they came because of the smell. I could not leave any food in the room for the rest of my stay. I even ate all my meals in...
Read moreWife and I stayed here in April 2015 in the RV park area which is behind the motel. We had no problem parking our RV and the hook-ups all worked. For $140 for one week we had no complaints. The new management is working hard improving the sites by upgrading long neglected plumbing, and cleaning out weeds/old bushes. There is no wifi but you can go 1/4 mile East on Central ave to the Waffle house and use the Econo lodge, McDonald's wifi at no charge. There are a few trees that can shade for summer use. Rhe bathhouse/toilets/showers are under remodeling at this time The staff would go out of thier way to accommodate , the night lighting was fantastic covering the entire property. This is an older property on the old Route 66 that is coming back to life (a diamond in the rough). We will be return customers to this pet friendly RV park. By the way, there is NO separate charge...
Read moreFirst off I would like to say that I didnt even get a chance to stay there because of several dishonest mistakes the front desk made. First off I booked a room online when I went to check in they said it was cash only and instead of charging $40 per night They wanted $60 per night and even though I showed a booking receipt number they said their computers were down n they couldn't help me.So I had to go to a different hotel that accepted credit cards and I still have not seen a deposit of $40 back on my credit card .they completely robbed me and now I dont know how I'm going to get my money back. Also the minute I pulled up to the office I thought I would be robbed.obviously they dont care who they rent to as long as you have cash.I will never recommend this horrible dive of a hotel worst experience I've had in Albuquerque by far.Dont rent there run as...
