This place is so wrong for the way they handle things. Firstly Huge deposit compared to other motels in this area. Also be aware they take more than they quote that they will. sneaky. However I booked here because the rooms looked nice and it seemed they were the safest of the hotels and newest, around here. Also its nice to have the half kitchen in the room. However, The things that go on at this hotel and the staff here have made me never want to return, which I guess is good because I'm assuming I'm banned. Let me explain why. I went to pay for my 4th night? I believe, and went to the front desk. I paid for my room, and walked back to my room which was on the first floor and not far from the office. I hadn't been in my room any more than 4 mins yup not even 5, before TIFFANY (staff) knocked on the door, I was in the bathroom so I asked for one moment, she kept banging and I opened the door, she never even stepped in my room before saying " yup its smells like smoke in here you're out." annd proceeded to walk away. I was dumb-founded, because I literally had been in my room not even 5 mins, I also don't smoke. never have, and I know it wasn't smelling of smoke. I went to the front desk, and unfortunately it was the women who just came into my room sitting there, I told her I didn't know what she was talking about and she then told me, "you fire alarm went off and it was smoky when your door opened." Uh... well that's a lie, I told her, I know the smoke detector didn't go off, and she then changed her story, "well it was smoky when I walked in and the housekeepers could smell it outside the door, so you have till 12 before I call the police." ok, I said, call them, Idont smoke and you are lying. She then replied with "fine they will just tell you to leave we don't have to rent to you, this isn't a landlord and tenant situation." at this point I started tearing up, please, I promise you I wasn't smoking in there ei never have smoked cigarettes and I have no were, no where to go. Then she says " it smelled like dr00gss in there and the manager has my back you need to leave."so now in a matter of 10 minutes I've been told my smoke detector went off, that it didn't, that the maids smelled it from outside my room when I wasn't even in there and was up there paying them more money, that it was smoky when the door opened and that now it smelled like "dr00gs" Idk how she knows that, but I myself don't do dr00gs or know what kind of dr00gs she was referencing, maybe her manager should ask her why she knows what illegal dr00gs smell like and why. to make things worse, "no you can't get your deposit back" why? I made sure to take pictures of my room when I walked in for the first time and as I left the last time. She said because I smoked in there I couldn't get the 150 back, even though they had no real evidence I did anything in there illegal or against there policies, and I have never had any arrests or any issues with the law that have to do with me using or smoking any illegal dr00gs. I also have no history of smoking cigarettes, so I feel like they genuinely were defaming my character by saying I was doing things I have no history of doing, ever. And why did they let me pay for the room, to walk back literally 4 mins later and kick me out. they knew when I went up to pay that they were going to kick me out and yet still took my money fully knowing I would be out on the streets mins later. And you guessed it, they wouldn't refund my payment for that day.
I will never forget how badly they made me feel and how they kicked me when I was down and took my last dollers knowing they were going to kick me out. I don't need a ban to never stay there again but man it would be nice to get that deposit back since I didn't do anything against their policy. Oh well though. Try desert sands up the street. cheaper, and better all...
Read moreI booked this hotel same day, September 29th, because I was on a road trip with my family. I called ahead of time and told them that I will be checking in after midnight, and I spoke to Melissa who said that she will let someone know. We showed up around 2:40am 30 September trying to check in, and the cleaning guy was the guy who was supposed to check us in as well. He didn’t notice us waiting there for a second since he was cleaning. He came over to check us in, but he couldn’t find my reservation. I showed him, Johnny, my reservation confirmation to prove that it’s not canceled. He finally found it, but stated how Melissa accidentally checked me into my rooms before we even arrived. Which doesn’t make sense since I would need to fill out forms in order to check in. I asked Johnny to make our rooms next to each other, but he ran into an issue and had to wake up Melissa who lived on property. Found out that Johnny doesn’t even have all the rights needed for situations like this. Like why have someone doing everything but not give him the rights? She instantly came in with an attitude since she was woken up, but I didn’t care because we were also tired. We tried to explain to her how she already checked us in because she was under the assumption that we didn’t pay yet. She tried saying that Expedia wasn’t accepting the payment, and I’m trying to explain to her that Expedia wouldn’t have accepted my booking then if my card was declined. She cut off Johnny when he tried to explain to her the situation as well which I thought was extremely unprofessional to start putting down/embarrassing your coworker in front of customers. Then she continued to be rude to him after she told him to do something, but then acted like he was stupid for trying to do it. I got tired of dealing with her, and just asked Johnny to help me out and told him that I’m going to contact Expedia to figure this out. I contacted Expedia and they got it handled in minutes. The hotel did in fact mess up, so Expedia gave me a refund but I still had to pay the hotel for the night. It took a whole extra hour just to check in and I can’t even get compensated for something that wasn’t even my fault? Didn’t go to sleep till 4am just to be up a short hours later because we still had to check out at 11am. The floors were dirty in the room, one of the rooms was missing toilet paper, there was damage in the bathroom, and we’re pretty sure that one of the druggies that was in the lobby stole my kid’s pillow that she carried in with her. There were at least 3 druggies hanging out by the lobby which didn’t make us feel comfortable at all. Definitely smelled like marijuana in the hallways as well. I appreciate Johnny’s kindness, but Melissa’s behavior/attitude was unacceptable. I will never stay at this...
Read moreUnfortunately at intervals 24/7 there were loud slamming exit door closings, my assigned room 302 was next to the exit door and due to this continual loud slamming so loud that my walls & window vibrated as well as I could hear the adjacent nearby room doors on both sides of the hall vibrating as well. Each time it sounded like a bomb going off, it was an absolutely torturous experience. This caused my physical[ heart papitations, increased distress ] psychological, emotional trauma & my health to be further compromised & deteriorate, still trying to recover on 10.09.2018 from this very traumatic experience at this extended stay. I have low BP, recently had it taken & discovered it was 131/85 which is high for me. Actually the the other one in Raliegh, NC was not the best experience either, but at least the room was not next to an exit door. A friend had membership with Value Place & I did not realize it was the same organization since it was called another name in NC, but saw the Woodbridge I think the name was & this ext stay in Albuqueque,.NM had similar style as the one in NC. I was only there for 11 days for circumstances there was out of my control. This os my first time in the Albuquerque area and due to the Balloon Festival that is currently in process had to leave Albuquerque to find a nearby place in another city until the Balloon Festival is over on Sunday 10.14.2018. This stay was like I was paying for my own early demise to spend 1 day was tortuous, unbelievable that I lived through 11 days there. I informed the Persons in Charge but was told that there was nothing that could be done, that the place was full so I ended up paying to suffer or face the alternate to be put out on the street since I could find no other place that could accommodate my needs, esp made even more challenging because of the Balloon Festival that I was not aware of beforehand when I came to Albuquerque, NM seeking a less humid climate. Even the commode ht was challenging since I needed one that was approx ht for WC accesibility per my Physician's recommendation. This was my first time in Albuquerque and had never heard of a Balloon Festival ao did not plan on being put in the street twice due to all decent hotels, est stays, leased car rentals having full booking in the area. I was there trying to follow my physicians recommendations over the yrs to find a less humid climate from high humidity levels on the east coast. The one redemption while there I found out that they assist Veterans, especially without home, to reestablish themselves. [Review collected...
