It was not good at all first I get there and the guy workin at the desk tells me he gave my room away to someone else so he had to move me to a non smoking room which wasn't right because I reserved a smoking room online had reservation how could he just give it away and tell me I had to go outside and smoke because of something he messed up on and then he charged me more then what I was told I was going to be paying and I asked why and he said he didn't know he couldn't tell me anything all he would say was i don't know so i asked if I could maybe have a discount for them messing up on the room and for over charging me and he said he didn't know how to do that either so I asked who I would talk to about it he couldn't tell me that either and then I asked if it would be alright if I checked out at 12:00pm an hour later and he said that was fine but around 10:45am a different guy came pounding on the door trying to go in telling me it was time to leave that I needed to hurry up and get my stuff and get out and to top it all off the room wasn't very clean it was dirty and the beds looked horrible when I walked in and the guy working at the front counter look like he was very messed up on something it took him almost 10 min to count my change out to give back to me it was just really bad service from the moment I got there until the moment I left someone should really come show them how to do there jobs and about customer service because all I was told about everything was either he didn't know are he didn't know how then the guy that worked in the morning was rude as can be towards me for no reason at all I asked for a late check out and was told that it was okay for me to check out late and then have someone trying to open the door banging on it for me to hurry up and get out i think it was rude as can be and they should learn to communicate and learn customer service and how to talk to people and not be so rude towards people and judge them right away because I was here on a business trip and I felt like they were judging me and stereotyping me looking at me like if I had no money are like I wasn't good enough to stay there they just made me feel uncomfortable there not good service at all I'm sorry but they need to get better help are send someone to train them how to do there jobs right are something because the way they made me feel and how much was wrong when I got there I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there and I deffenently wouldn't go back the way I was treated...
Read moreWe are traveling cross country and spent one night at Albuquerque NE. We awoke in the morning to find water had flooded our room from the bathroom. Called front desk to arrange for us to shower and use the facilities in another room. Clerk called the manager who was not onsite and from what my husband could gather she reluctantly agree to provide us with another room. Clerk then came to the flooded room and all he asked was did the water seep into the adjoining room. Never apologized for our inconvenience. Our luggage had gotten wet, our dog beg was completely soaked through. Upon checking out I asked if there was a way to get a discount for our troubles, understood that these things happen but our dog bed was ruined and even $20 off would help with replacing the bed. The clerk called the manager, I could hear them discussing the incident, he told her I wanted to speak with her and yet she would not talk to me. He said she was off duty and the best that she could do was have us come back and she would give us a discount.
Come back? We're traveling and not coming back through Albuquerque. And off duty, well she was talking to the clerk and if she was off someone else must have been on. You have an irate customer and you don't speak to them?!!!! It was the most unprofessional response to this situation. We were not demanding complete refund of our stay because again, things happen. We were just looking for acknowledgement that we had been effected monetarily because of what happened.
I'm also wondering if Management was not unaware that the room had problems. The night clerk that checked us in emphasized twice that within five minutes of us entering the room if we found problems to come right back down and she would change our room. That statement has never been make to us in any of the hundreds of stays we've had with Motel 6.
Seriously, if someone had just apologized for the inconvenience and on their own offered us a room to shower it would have gone a long way to appeasing us.
So disappointed, left such a sour taste in our mouths and we'll be fuming and talking about this for many years. Senior management can't want this to be the standard by which your product is judged.

Read moreI will post this since my sister won't because she manages 3 motel 6 in Missouri:the manger there is rude and obviously doesn't know how to run the g6hms check in system since she didn't know how to combine are 3 rooms into one bill due to new pci compliance laws if she would ran my card 3 times for 3 rooms it would lock up my card and not approve the second and 3rd charge so as my sister proceeds to try to walk her through the process she tells her very rudely we don't do master billing 2nd when my sister asked for the manger card she said she was the manger card so she asked for the hotel I'd # so she can call Corparate for being flat out rude and tried to do an exemption rate on there employ30 discount now ten we though the night window we can see the whole computer screen so again my sister knew it wasn't correct so when she asked for the property Id number for when she called Corparate the manger said we aren't Corparate my sister said she understood that but they still had guest relations just like any other franchise manger then canceled out our check in and proceed to next guest who was trying to retrieve items from his room and she refused to give a key to due to nonpayment which is not even legal and against corporate policy he had his recipet and Id he was told to come back in morning when hsk came in the entrance to the night window door was broken we had to walk under an unlited walkway by the pool just to get in the night window area again it's not even 9pm and lobby is locked with a gentleman sitting watching tv this place is a disgrace to motel 6 to the point I was relieved she cancelled our reservations and we went to motel 6 up the street on 6015 Iliff Rd Nw Albuquerque, NM 87121 Which was more like motel 6 standards and above my honest opinion is drive the extra 5 mins and go to motel 6 at 6015 Iliff Rd Nw Albuquerque, NM 87121 os so worth it and Ashly the front desk staff is awesome my sister said she wish she could clone her and take her back...
