This is a really great homemade pizza restaurant located right by the Walmart there at Hunters Crossing. What an awesome place to eat! The crust was hand-tossed right in front of our eyes and we ordered the 18 inch meat lovers Pizza and had it cooked a little well done so it was nice and brown the way we like it and they made it perfect. They even asked me two times during the cooking to check it so that it was cooked perfectly for me and I thought that was exceptional customer service. They definitely wanted me to be happy with that pizza. Coincidentally the gentleman that was standing in front of us when we ordered the pizza was there to deliver a certificate of award for them being the best pizza in the area. Once we were done eating, I understood why and so will you if you go down and check the folks out at Metro Pizza!

Small little shop set in a nondescript shopping center in between a thrift store and Wal-Mart. Pizza was cheap and generously portioned for a medium. Dough was chewy and exactly as thick as it needed to be. A little greasy, but that's what I was expecting and it didn't ruin the pizza at all. Buddy had the calzone and it was hilariously portioned, practically 3 meals worth of food. Huge portion of side sauce. Self-serve sodas. Absolutely worth a visit!

Being from Chicago I judge all other pizza to what I grew up with. Ordered 2 slices, one pepperoni and the other sausage. Metro's crust was thin and crispy, sauce was limited, cheese was limited, they add toppings and then reheat the slices. Taste was good, sausage slices was a bit unusual for me, toppings covered each, I would have liked more sauce and cheese.

Pretty much the best pizza by the slice in Maryville/Alcoa/Knoxville. I had a journey going to as many places that serve pizza by the slice that I could find. This includes the three cities mentioned above. I struggle to think of a better place. I will say there are a few better deals however those are limited to lunch specials and the pizza isn't as good. There is only one other pizza place that can equal Metro and unfortunately the special that is offered there is limited time. I wanted to mention this because I really want around to so many places and I always go back to Metro. The staff is amazing as well. I don't know exactly what it is about them but the restaurant always feels really welcoming. Just laid back atmosphere. Twice I have been inside eating and have heard people from out of state complimenting the food and giving praise. Just random people. Every time I am at Metro there are other people enjoying the food and a lot of carry out orders as well. I know I am not in the minority loving this place. I highly recommend it. Out of all the times I have been there I have only had one negative experience...when the soda fountain was out of order! The food is excellent always. Take a big slice of pizza, you gotta fold it and stick it in your mouth! Awesome place we are privileged to have a shop like this in the area. Very lucky. Love...

In my opinion this place is in the top five pizza joints in the Knoxville area. It's a New York City style pizza. I have been to NYC many times so I do consider myself a good judge of this type of pie. The crust here is thin with just the right amount of crunch on the underside. The cheese is top notch, not the mushy paper thin layer of cheese that most of the chain pizza places use. The cheese to sauce ratio is spot on. They have tables to sit and eat or you can order and take it home. They have a 18 in size for about 20.00. It's huge and we'll worth the money. If you don't have that many people to feed they have all the smaller sizes as well as by the slice. I recommend this place. If you ever near the Wal-Mart in Maryville stop in and...
