My contractor ordered a small piece of glass for a shelf from them. For $300 I expected it to not crack in several places within a month.
When I spoke with the manager, he talked AT ME. He said that they are a reputable company that he's not willing to talk to me but then explained that it's our fault for ordering the glass with holes. He raised his voice, interrupted me several times and said things like "I can offer you a discount but I will not replace it" but never actually waited long enough for me to accept. If he had listened to me ( he hung up on me), I'd be asking how a reputable glass company's product will crack on the edges? This happened when we were away. There was no sudden force of any kind. I had placed a vase of flowers on it before we left for the weekend. Further more, why would he shy of placing holes in a glass if most manufacturers can do the same as a normal practice for installation? I've installed many of these in my house. My last piece which broke by force during construction by my contractor who apologetically replaced it was also non tempered and had lasted many years. The difference is that I had ordered it from Delray Glass. They would have been more professional, worked with me and given me a much better product for the same price. Funny thing is, had he not lost it and just offered me a discount, I would...
Read moreThe our exterior glass table top broke during the last storm. Mirror and Glass Center's price was fair, the product was great and we found the service superb! The table top was due in after we were having company. I explained the problem to the girl at the front office and she was able to work magic with their supplier. When she called to say it was in before the committed schedule date, she was as almost as delighted as we were. Then, we measured the table incorrectly. Completely our fault - off about 1/16th of an inch. On a Saturday the owner and his helper stayed late to help us shave off the glass slightly so it would fit. ...
Read moreCan’t speak highly enough. I was restoring our worn down 1950s kitchen door on a Saturday morning, and when removing the original glass panes, they shattered. Ack! A quick Google search, pleasant phone call, and drive to pick up replacement panes later and Mirror and Glass Center has saved the day. They just so happened to be in on the holiday weekend and just so happened to have the glass I needed and ability to cut it custom on the fly. Incredible. My door looks great, the glass is better and stronger than before and the speed of service meant I could finish the job as I’d...
