Westgate Shopping Center — Local services in Alexandria

Sutherlands had been my go to place several times a week,b4 the plandemic hit but even then irregular feed shipments plaqued my shopping there causing me to make another store stop to get my,much needed stock feed. So it had been a few months since stopping to shop,sadly the attitude of both cs on desk was a bit gruff ,although they did take care of my request with a substitute item the store seems to have lost " it's loving feeling" to quote words from that song. Sad but true. I'll still shop there, we have a kitchen remodel underway and you can find different items at this store that aren't at the other big box home improvement stores. All and all this store is like if Lowe's/ Home Depo and,Tsc had a baby store....it would be named Sutherlands.You get items here that you find at both. Except don't expect any feed on sale to be in stock,I go to Petrus local feed store for...

The cashier on the register at the Dollar Tree was very professional and friendly, also greeted everyone as they entered, and was and would make an excellent addition to any company's team. The only awkward thing is that she did it all by herself while it was at least 5 customers in the store. I acknowledged her personally, letting her know that her customer service skills were excellent and that she was doing a great job. She said thank you, I appreciate it, and have a good day. That's a real employee, not just someone there to get a check. We need more workers...

Food is good. However. Employees are less desirable. The cashier never gave us a "Hello" and was very snippy when when we asked for children's cup lids because the tray was empty. The meat cutter was too busy laughing and talking to a waitress about hanging out after work to assist us. As myself and 3 others just stood waiting. Salad bar was a disaster even though there was a employee behind the bar. There was food all over the floors as if the servers were not sweeping up after the table was clear for the next guest.
