Visiting Alpena from the metro Detroit area we stopped into The Local Basket Case. The store was amazing. Not your average run of the mill souvenir shop. Everything was quality made, stylish and so reasonably priced. Griffin, one of the store owners, was so personable and full of knowledge. He informed us of some must see locations. Rockport Recreation Area in particular. Which honestly, may have been our favorite part of the entire trip. Great experience all around. We'll definitely visit everytime we are back...

This place has some of the best Alpena/Michigan merchandise, t-shirts, puzzles, glasses & mugs, bumper stickers,etc. I love this shop❣️The reason I gave only 4 stars is because I have such a difficult time finding my size. I wear a size small women's. Most of the styles in the store start at a size medium. I don't like to wear...

Amazing selection of Michigan merchandise and amazing people running it. When they were out of a couple shirts we wanted in our size, one of the owners volunteered to travel to their store in a different town to pick up the shirts. They were there the very next morning...
