Don't get me wrong I support Alpena businesses but for how much they charge per month there isn't much they provide equipment wise and space wise and its constantly packed making you wait around and not get the full potential of your workout. The staff is great and very helpful,very clean facility and well kept equipment and I'm sure the specific classes are great but not everybody wants to do classes. It's more of a $15 a month club you're really just paying for the classes that you don't use. Great environment but for the money it needs to be bigger to accommodate all the people or open another gym somewhere else. I've lost 100 pounds in that gym and I would absolutely recommend it to any body but it all comes down to space and price. Pros: Equipment is very-well maintained and when something needs repair, it is fixed quickly. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Cons: This is a VERY small and basic fitness center. Only a handful of people can comfortably use the locker room facilities at one time. Extremely small amount of cardio equipment for being the only fitness center in town. Only 5 treadmills, 8-10 elliptical and 3 ARC trainers; unless you go at the slow times, you will most likely be waiting on equipment. For $50 a month you'd think they could better...

When I walked in the gym and walked up to the counter I was told that my Silver Sneakers membership is no good. How insane is that!!
