I suppose I could say it was my fault. I own a 22 year-old solar company and a 9 year old energy efficiency and roofing company. Today, I went to work in Tech clothes rather than my normal business attire. I had to stop by Men's Warehouse to pick up a shirt for a Christmas party tomorrow night, and I've now learned my lesson about the Altamonte Springs Men's Warehouse store. Keep in mind that I went to the one in Lutz this past weekend and spent $1300. I had no issues whatsoever. I was greeted when I walked in, helped right away, and found exactly what I needed. This weekend on a Saturday, that store had 4 employees working. Today, the Altamonte Spring store on a weekday at 9 working. Let me clarify they had 4 working, and the other 5 were not working. One guy was talking about day trading to another young guy who was sitting down doing absolutely nothing. 2 other guys were walking around just trying to find something to do other than helping a customer who wasn't dressed like he owned multi-million dollar companies, again, which was my fault. The manager, I assume, well she was also busy doing nothing.
I was looking for 1 thing, 1 shirt, that was it. After waiting 15 to 20 minutes and not talking to anyone, I decided to start looking for shirts myself. I found the shirt I needed I went to the register and waited and waited until a young man in a suit asked me if I was waiting on someone and I said, "yes for 38 minutes I've been waiting on someone." He apologized rang up my order and apologize again which I appreciate it however the woman that's managing the store, or at least was managing it today, wearing all white, walking around talking about absolutely nothing with the day trader that new absolutely nothing should spend more time paying attention to the customers at walk in rather than not doing the job of taking care of customers. I've shopped at the Men's Warehouse for almost 2 decades, and today was the 1st time that I felt that I would never walk back through their doors again. But I have to keep in mind it's just the Altamonte store that I will never walk through the doors of again. I have no desire to listen to someone who knows nothing about day trading trying to teach another person who knows nothing about day trading while I'm looking for clothes. Just one simple shirt. I also have no desire to try and chase someone down to buy 1 shirt. It would be much easier if when a customer walked through the door, they were greeted equally whether they were wearing their Rolex and their business attire or wearing tennis shoes and a technician shirt. I should have been treated the same either way, but I wasn't. I would steer clear of the store. There's a reason it has a rating of 3.9 stars on Google witche...
Read moreFor the record, this review is regarding the store itself. The online options for adjusting your order is excellent for the most part, and the central call center representative I spoke with for other adjustments was phenomenal. Men's Wearhouse is generally probably fine.
That said, the service we received at this store was very poor. We rented tuxedos and suits for a wedding party. At our initial visit, the lady who assisted us just seemed rushed, disinterested, and frustrated with us any time we wanted to try anything or if we didn't know exactly what we wanted. We needed a little guidance on what to pick and what would match or look good, and she just seemed annoyed by us which is hugely disappointing. We eventually were able to settle on something, but ultimately it left a bad impression.
Today we went to pick up my tux. We walked in and everyone seemed pretty busy, so we went to one of the several desks and waited for a bit. Several associates walked by us going to grab other articles of clothing or to ring people out, and nobody so much as looked at us. I don't expect to be treated like "royalty" but I didn't even receive a "Be right with you!" or any form of acknowledgement. That is basic customer service and in an establishment where our party is literally paying thousands of dollars, I don't expect to be ignored by the staff. We even had someone come in behind us with a return and an associate went to them mid-trip and went "Return?" and took it and still never bothered with acknowledging us. We had to finally flag someone down once they were free and walking the store, and even he just seemed totally disinterested in helping us.
Thankfully, the tuxedo was well packed (though it's packed and shipped from outside of the store, so I thank the general Men's Wearhouse for this, not the Altamonte location). The associate at the store gave us the chance to try it on to make sure it still fit and we were good to go. But ultimately, being made to feel like a bother made doing business here a very poor experience. I would not recommend this store to any of my...
Read moreWe have had nothing but a terrible experience. Came in 2 months ago looking to rent suits for our wedding. We made it known upon introduction that we wanted to rent. My fiance was then given to someone to help. Long story short, 1.5 hours later we got him fitted, tailored, picked out every detail for the suit like shoes, ties, shirts, etc. The gentleman then brought us to checkout where we were asked to pay $864. My fiance asked about payment plans or options because this was meant to be a rental. We were then told none of the items that were given to us as an option were a choice for rental, only to buy. So, we wasted nearly 2 hours of our time when from the get go we told them we wanted to rent. A month later we decided to come back and try again, this time a woman took care of us and showed us the rental options, one including a light blue option which we were very much interested in for our groomsmen. After an hour of the same process we pay, get confirmation info, and pick up dates for groomsmen. One of the groomsmen went 2 days later to get fitted where he was then told that suit wasn’t available and they didn’t know why we were given that option. So here we are once again having to switch our plans now for a 3rd time after going through the whole process. My fiance goes up there after being told the blue wasn’t available. To make this situation a long story short we got grey suits and a discounted rate from $227 to $194, because the grey was more expensive than the blue and we couldn’t get the blue pricing even though they were the ones to mess up once again. A week later more groomsmen go to get fitted for the suits. They were both being charged $215 on 2 separate occasions and not the $194 that was agreed upon. One ended up paying $215 but one got the $194. This has been such a horrible experience, we’ve wasted so much time due to miscommunication or people who don’t have any idea what’s going on. We’ve had to change plans twice, over all not happy and wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone looking...
