By far the WORST experience Iāve ever had the disadvantage of participating in. We took all appropriate avenues for adoption including, the email questionnaire, scheduled meeting and face to face interaction. All just to be belittled and told that being young was a reason as to why we could not adopt? Upon arrival we were rushed inside and told it had to be very quick as she had another appointment (mind you so did we). We then went over the exact email that was sent to Michele that she herself validated that she had read. Stating current living conditions, career, expectations, etc. During which she stated that we didnāt match the requirements which we understood until she started stating that āyoung peopleā just adopt without thinking blah blah blah (Again mind you we are 28). The problem with all this was it was all sent via email to Michele stating EXACTLY what was said to her face to face. She didnāt send an email back saying we didnāt qualify but instead set an appointment for us to go in and be criticized. We drove from out of town to be rushed in and told to leave when we confronted her about her already knowing the mandated information. The total lack of hospitality whilst at work baffled my friend, wife and myself. Never again will I even consider this so called establishment. I just hope they treat the poor souls within their walls with better care than what was shown to us in less than ten...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Cats Meow provides an incredibe service to the community of Anacortes WA and its hundreds of homeless, stray and abandon cats and kittens of Anacortes and surrounding communities. I have been amazed by the dedication and love Michele and staff have for these abandonded and lost felines. On many occasions Michele has come to my home to help me rescue the cats who have been discarded on the property. She and her staff and volunteer fosters provide food, shelter, heathcare and love to these cats and kittens. The foster families of Cats Meow are an awsome community! They step in and provide the extra love and care to make sure the cats who survived such a traumatic life are given all the kindness and compassion that were lacking in their previous lives. Foe anyone who loves animals, I hope they will step up to help this organization continue a much needed service to the Anacortes community and surrounding areas. Thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have always loved stopping by to say hello to the cats in their enclosed sanctuary but I didnāt realize how truly wonderful they are at The Catās Meow & how many kitty lives theyāve saved! This summer, a mama cat started visiting us & one day showed up with 2 of her kittens! We have a cat of our own but set up some shelter on our deck & tried to figure out what what would be the best for all our feline friends. I reached out to The Catās Meow & Michelle was invaluable in helping us get them safe & inside. They lent us a humane trap, a kennel & even a litter box to help with the transition to their new environment indoors. She also helped us get them all spayed, neutered & chipped. I am so grateful for everyone at the Catās Meow & especially for Michelle who, in sharing her wisdom & experience has helped us become a home with four happy cats! Thank you thank you...
