I am a listener of KISM FM 92.9 and I heard that there was an event to help the homeless. Basically, eat at participating restaurants and part of the proceeds would go to help the homeless. One of those restaurants was The Rockfish Grill in Anacortes. I’ve been here before and usually order their pizza. It’s very good pizza and I enjoy it a lot! However, today I chose to eat their Etouffee. My wife and her family are from Northern Louisiana and she introduced me to Crawfish Etouffee and it has been a favorite of mine ever since. The Rockfish Grill makes their Etouffee with shrimp. Almost as tasty as the crawfish version when done right! The Rockfish Grill definitely does it right! They have an island of rice sitting in the middle of a bowl of the Etouffee that is chock full of andouille sausage, shrimp, onions, and other bits of goodness. The wait staff was very friendly and I was able to keep myself entertained by checking out all the wonderful decor and watching one of the tv’s around the bar. I always enjoy my visits to The Rockfish Grill and look forward to my next visit.

3/6/20 - Took my girlfriend out to lunch for her birthday I had the lunch special which as Three fish tacos and wow they were amazing, I was given an option of beer batter or panko which I chose panko - I am excited to return for some more tacos. Now the service was Amazing as well, my soda was kept full and she kept checking on our table even though it appeared she was the only waitress on at the time her service was a welcome surprise, she would be a keeper. We have been here a few times and I have enjoyed the service and food here. The atmosphere is always welcoming, they at times have jazz bands playing softly in the evenings. The Brownies are to die for and there is plenty, plenty to share with about four people. I have even gone in just to get the brownies to take home. Nice place.

Came in for an early dinner on a holiday weekend. Noticed as we walked in there is outdoor seating along the main street. Once inside we were offered indoor or outdoor seating. We had been outside all day and it was a bit breezy so we opted for inside. I would describe the menu as fancied up bar food. I had the Saffron Penn Cover mussels with a side salad and they were both delicious! Fresh mixed greens and sweet cherry tomatoes with cucumber slices and shredded carrots with a chunky Bleu cheese dressing. My friend had the fish tacos which came with a delicious aoili and green salsa. About 8 seasonal beers and 6 or 7 regular beers and a couple rotating cider options as well. Will return next time we're in town.

We went to Rockfish Grill on the last night of an amazing vacation with my parents (Sunday, July 30). We were early diners, and arrived at about 4:45, with many open tables. The waiter took our drink and appetizer order. After a few minutes, he came back with 3 of our 4 drinks and the appetizer, and took our dinner order. About 5 min after that, I had to go find him to ask for our 4th beverage (a cup of black coffee). He didn't apologize for forgetting it, but just said "ok". When the cup came, the coffee was clearly old and tasted slightly burnt, but we didn't say anything.

We shared the calamari appetizer, and all agreed it was delicious. And waited for our meals. And waited and waited.... by this time the place had filled in and we watched as 4 tables who arrived after us, and placed their orders well after we had finished our appetizer, were served their main meals.

After 45 minutes of waiting, I finally got the waiter's attention and politely asked about our food. I pointed out that others who arrived much later than us not only received their food already, but some had paid and left. All he said was "yeah, I noticed that. I will keep an eye on the hot table for it". And he went about his business. Never asking at the kitchen.

After another 10 minutes I asked him again and got the same response. My husband ordered a Miller Lite, and the waiter asked "is that a beer? I don't know much about beer." Sorry, what??? How does a grown adult, who is a waiter at a restaurant with a bar NOT know that Miller Lite is beer?!) Either way, we explained it to him, and he again walked the other direction and not checking with the kitchen on our food.

After an hour we gave up. I found him again and asked for the bill for what we HAD received and told him we would be leaving. "Ok" was all he said and it took ANOTHER 5 min before he came back and knelt down by the table and in a tone as if he was doing me a favor said "I will go ahead and remove the items you haven't received yet". I just looked at him and said ah...I would certainly hope so.

I paid for what we did get, and for the first time EVER, I did not leave a tip. Where is management? How is this ok? Frankly we should have been comped something (although I would have never asked for that, because we did consume what we had been given), but zero apology, and nothing but a shrug of the shoulders.

Sad. Would...

I’ve been coming here for a long time now. I cant say enough how great this place is! Honestly on of my favorite spots here. The beer is of the best quality I ha e had and they ha e a large selection as well. They have an amazing and diverse menu choice the service is always spot on, I just can say enough how awesome this place is. The size of the restaurant in general is just great plenty of room even when packed. Good outdoor spacing as well and the service outside is just as good. Pricing is decent it isn’t super expensive. But out of all the food I would highly recommend the wood fire pizzas you can go wrong with any of them really. The fish and chips are also a must have, the two piece fish and chips are plenty for anyone. Honestly can say anymore just reiterate, the beer is good, the service is good, the food is good. So it's all good. Our server was very nice, April. She was also informative and supportive of our meal quality and time it took to prepare. Letting us know that the cook at the time is new and training so all feedback was helpful. She was knowledgeable in the beverage suggestions for the type of food of our interest on the menu, it worked out very well. We don't see a reason to stop dining here, just more reasons to come to this amazing place. It is our number one spot for dining...

Came here on the recommendation of a friend of mine. Even though it was busy, we were seated within 2 minutes of our arrival. Speaking for myself, I ordered an appetizer of Pretzels and Beer Cheese dip. I had nothing left to put my leftover dip onto. I almost asked for another pretzel because sending what was left of the dip back seemed criminal! By the way, the pretzels are done on site fresh per order! Next came my Flaming Burger. No, it wasn't served flaming but it was done just the way I like it. It had just enough spicy heat to keep me interested, but not enough to drown or drive away the flavor. The waffle fries were done just the way I like my fries. Not overdone with just enough crispness but not excessively browned. For dessert both my wife and I got an order of the Berry Cobbler. It had quite a few Blue and Black berries in it. Hot with a couple of scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream. An awesome compliment to a very nice meal experience. I highly recommend this place to just about any type of crowd. It's a little on the expensive side but when I enjoy my meal and can find nothing wrong with the quality or quantity, I don't even worry about price. Finally, our server Tania was very nice, very pleasant, and made our dining experience very enjoyable....
