WARNING FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR! My mom and brother went to do some Mother’s Day browsing/shopping. They weren’t receiving any assistance in fragrance. After 15 mins of associates ignoring them, walking away, four associates came out to watch and follow my family during their shopping experience. My mom felt so disrespected and uncomfortable she COULD NOT enjoy picking out a MOTHERS DAY GIFT! She said “In the 20 years of shopping here I never thought I’d see the day that there were more people following and intimidating her than any other shopping trip or Black Friday sale.” Then an associate suggested they check out another store because Vonmaur fragrance is too far out of their budget. It wasn't a store I'd usually go to, but I ended up loving Von Maur. It's a little pricey but I had a gentleman in there who went above and beyond to make my experience wonderful. I had trouble picking out some shoes for a date night outfit and Velly was nice enough to pick out a few suggestions for me. Velly helped me try them on and I'm very grateful that he played with my baby while I did, otherwise I would've gone home. I fell in love with two shoes he had suggested and I walked out excited for a well deserved date night! He's been my to go guy whenever I've gone to Von Maur. My husband thinks he's an outgoing guy and we've dropped by a couple of times when we're at the mall just to say hi. I haven't seen him for a while, so I'm a bit disappointed. This is one of my favorite stores to shop at, when I shop. I love their classic customer service every visit! Top Notch service makes a difference to the overall experience. Today, Pam helped me select new perfume and a cologne gift. She was outstanding; especially on a day when I truly needed someone's input on decision making. Pam was patient, polite, and professional. She kept making positive suggestions and was extremely nice. Thanks Pam for helpig me find new scents and for your excellent assistance today!
