We went to the store yesterday Dec 27th at around 8 pm to check out a few rugs, we liked one, and we asked a few questions to a staff member named Tyler, but his answers were very rude .. so we took help from another employee. We decided to buy this rug, but as we had a small car my husband went to get a big car from home at 8:40pm ..meanwhile, me and my 3 year old toddler started exploring the store, sometimes my child was sitting on the chair(as she was tired) ..within 15 mins, Tyler came and told me that store is closing at 9:30 three times, guessing he thought I am not going to buy anything (I already had two items my hand which I was going to buy. ) I told him I was waiting for my husband and we are going to buy the rug.
Around 9 pm, I liked a few jars from the kitchen section, so thought I would get a cart and get those quickly. Again this guy came and told me the store was closing at 9:30 .. I saw new customers were coming to the store.. but not sure why Tyler was harassing me (at this time I should also mention that I am Indian.. so may be that's why).. I had enough of him and said that this is not acceptable, there is still around 30 minutes to close the store and I told him multiple times I was waiting on my husband and we ARE buying the rug. He didn’t care to listen and went away. I called my husband and asked him to come ASAP, we got the rug and two more items and got out of the store. I even tried to show Tyler that now can you see this rug and I bought it, but he then ignored me. I already complained to other staff working there. Decided not going to the Apex store anymore. Attaching receipt for reference.
P.S. - I like HomeGoods, but will not accept this kind...
Read moreI love shopping at HomeGoods I’m at the store almost every weekend, I even have their credit card. I never expected this kind of behavior. I bought a water tumbler on 1st Jan, I realized it is damaged after removing the wrap, unfortunately I have removed and the thrown the wrap immediately so I did not have a tag or anything when I took it for returns on Jan 5. It seems like store has 2 managers one for TJ Max and other for HomeGoods and they claimed its neither of their product(this item is at the rack near checkout counters so I could not tell whose it is). I did have receipt and clearly showed the line item, TJ Max manager checked the item and cross checked list of items in her database and told its not from TJ Max. HomeGoods manager did not even care to check and blames me that it’s my responsibility to check the item before buying it. I agree that I should check but it was wrapped the dents were covered 🤷🏻‍♀️. He says it’s damaged and cannot return it. So I could not return it. Apparently this person don’t think its their responsibility to sell...
Read moreI was in the Apex location earlier this morning and the reason I am giving two stars is because there are some friendly staff there. However, I'm assuming this woman I witnessed was a manager and I tried to get close enough to get her name (and couldn't make it out) but she was a bit older and had reddish hair. The way she was speaking to her fellow employees while they were restocking and rearranging was incredibly disrespectful. I couldn't believe it. It doesn't matter how old the employees were but she was speaking to women my mom's age as if they were new teenagers on the job (also wouldn't be OK in that case). I felt so bad for these women. Someone please...
