Today I visited TJMAXX/HOMEGOODS in Beaver Creek in Apex, North Carolina. My brother in-law found a rug that he loved and noticed a few melted burn marks on it. We searched for another one like it but couldn’t find it. So, we decided since there weren’t any more like it and we have been looking for one all weekend to ask the check out desk if we could be discounted anything for the damage. When speaking with the check out employee she was young and polite and said she was new and needed to speak with a homegoods representative. We said no problem. She brought over a woman named ANGIE. We described to ANGIE what was going on with the rug and asked if there was anything she could do to help us. She flat out and rudely said “that is just texture” and went to walk away. When my brother in-law said “that’s it, you don’t even want to touch it or look at it?” She replied “No.” and walked away. I have been in retail and customer service Since the age of 16, if there was nothing she could do to discount for the damage that was all she had to say. Instead her intention was to make a point and be rude and impatient. The very young employee checking us out seemed embarrassed and replied “I’m so sorry, if there are more marks on the rug when you get home and unroll it save your receipt and bring it back.” That I feel is how customer service should be done. I haven’t been treated like that in a long time. I feel like something needs to be acknowledged with ANGIE the employee as well as my brother in-law who still ended up buying the rug at full price even though we were treated poorly and the rug was slightly damaged. If nothing could be done we would have liked the courtesy of just simply and politely being told that. If the company reads this, Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Read moreI made a purchase of a wall art yesterday afternoon along with some other stuff. After I got home and put everything away, I noticed there was a light crack on the side of the said art piece. Because I threw away the receipt already (my fault, I admit) I knew I’d have to show them the credit card I paid with or get a store credit, which I was fine with.
When I came in to return it today, the store manager told me “this is a set of three” in a tone that made me think she’s accusing me of not returning ALL of them. But this was the only one I bought and received! I never got a set of three!
I asked why nobody warned me that I was buying a set of three art when I paid yesterday, because all I got was ONE. She said they work for T.J. Maxx and not HomeGoods, so the cashiers wouldn’t know.
Then she asked how come I didn’t have the receipt, which I answered “because I threw it away, I’ll have to go through my trash can if I wanna find it”. She replied with “could you do that then, that’d be really helpful”. I am NOT digging through a trash can for $29.99.
After that I was so infuriated that I was ready to walk away without the art or money. Only then did she call me back and said without a receipt she can give me a store credit.
This whole experience was just insulting. Be careful when you buy here that you aren’t buying “a...
Read moreI bought patio furniture from this location, paid for it in full. Told them I will not be able to pick up as it does not fit in my car. Spoke to different TJ Maxx/HomeGoods representatives over the next two weeks telling them I will be in to pick it up as soon as possible I travel for work so it's hard to come in until the wknd. I called this morning before renting a Uhaul Truck was told to pull up to the curb and they will bring it out, I get there to find out they sold my furniture to someone else and Raymond Coney the HomeGoods manager in Apex tells me they held on to my furniture for as long as they could, they called me But because I was at work and did not answer (Eventhough I called them back) they decided to sell it to someone else- I told him I called back spoke to 4 different representatives they assured me they will hold on to my furniture. Raymond said I should not have talked to a TJ Maxx person that I needed to talk to a HomeGoods person- they are under one roof! I don't know of anyone who would pay for patio furniture which cost over $1300 and not go back to pick it up? This is absurd I will never shop at this HomeGoods store- Very disappointing experience will never give them my money or trust what they say-truly the worst shopping experience I have ever had! This is No Way to run...
