I'm sure this is a lovely place to shop, but my 1 Star review is strictly for their "pick up" service. We are moving and wanted to donate some pieces that aren't super easy for us to move. My wife called and scheduled the pick up. Well the delivery guys called 3 days early while we were both at work and asked if they could just come pick the pieces up now. Thank you for the call, but we weren't home nor could we just drop everything to rush back. It'd be easier to just keep the scheduled time we planned on. The scheduled day came up, and we called all day, even left messages, to get a hold of someone to make sure they were coming. No answer, quite literally, ALL day when their phone message and online times say they're available until 7pm. We waited...and no one came. No phone call saying they're backed up or delayed or can't get there...just nothing. We finally get a call the next day. No apology but they want to reschedule for a day at the end of the month. This isn't in our plans as we're supposed to move before the end of the month, but sure we will accommodate because we wanted to donate these items. We rearrange our schedule, again. We received another phone call and they ask if they can reschedule the pickup "some time in mid July" and NOW the truck doesn't come to our area so it will cost us $99. Uhhhhhhh no. We were just trying to donate items, we've changed our schedules around twice, and now you're going to make me pay for your free service?? We're going to have to figure something else out. So by all means shop there, and if you're looking to donate, just take it there. But this "pick up service" they offer "for free" is just unreasonable...
Read moreReally sad at how the management treats their staff here! We will no longer be going to this store! ( I believe her name was Sherell) she was nice to my family when we asked her for help but we were extremely surprised at how she treated her staff! It’s no wonder The employees seem so miserable! She is extremely rude and walks around talking about her employees in front of the customers which is very inappropriate! We even heard her at one point making fun of the cashier to another person! Shame on you if you’re reading this! We live in a difficult sad world right now so being owned by a church, you think that your staff would be treated with Gods love and grace! The store itself has also seen better days as well! We use to enjoy going here but unfortunately the store doesn’t have much to offer! Really sad reputation of St. Vincent‘s! Someone really needs to step up their game here because the other St. Vincent‘s thrift stores are 100 times better than this one! Head of management really needs to consider watching their cameras if they have them or making themselves seen more in this establishment!! As for me and my family, we cannot and will not support an establishment that allows their employees to be treated in such a ill manner! Bullying is never OK!!...
Read moreLet me start out by saying we normally love this store. Always find great deals and is a huge help when you have 5 children! We only donate to this store refuse to give to goodwill. We went to this store 7/5 to do our normal thrifting. When we pulled in there was a sign that said “everything 50% off. Found a really cool desk my 10 year old fell in love with. Desk was priced @$60 which is in my opinion high for a thrift store that gets everything for FREE but was willing to overlook the price and purchase it since it was 50% off. Got up front and was told they would not give us the 50% off because the sign was apparently from the sale they had a few days ago. If you’re advertising 50% off should you sell or for that. The manager (Kim) was horrible and so rude! Told me the sign was old and if I didn’t like that it was old I should volunteer and fix it! We walked out of the store. After dealing with an upset 10 year old we went back in and paid $60 for it. Your new manager shouldn’t have a job! When we went back in to get the desk she was being horrible to your staff. They were on the verge of tears. I would highly recommend you find out why she is so miserable and rude before you have no more...
