I went to Hi-Tech nails today because I needed a gel removal and gel polish. I've lived in Apple Valley for 3 years and thought I would try a different place. What a HORRIBLE mistake. After the tech shredded my nails she cut my finger with the cuticle nipper. The tech immediately tried to control it, but it was everywhere. And she wasn't sanitary about the process at all. It felt like I was bleeding FOREVER. I got up to wash my hands, and when I returned, the tech didn't understand why I didn't want my nails painted. My finger was still bleeding, skin was just hanging there, and blood was drying all along/inside the cuticle line of my finger. My nails looked awful, my finger looks mangled, I was really upset, but I remained polite- until she insisted on charging me $15.00. She never said she was sorry or seemed to show an ounce of empathy. I left crying, my finger was stinging, and my feelings were really hurt that this person didn't acknowledge at all that she hurt me. If I could add a picture to this review I would. I get my nails done every three weeks or so, and have done so for the past few years- never have I had such an painful experience. Even worse- the tech (an older woman who's English was not clear) did not care at all- an apology goes a long way- and she could have cared...
Read moreI had the worst experience. I called this lady and told her that I wanted to change my appointment for the next day, Saturday. She said they did not have a spot and I understood. I told her OK then I will keep my 4 PM appointment but I might run a little late. So I drove there like a crazy person and arrived at 4:11 PM. Two minutes later other people walked in, and she tells me, "I'm sorry you're late for your appointment, and for that reason I had to call other clients." I couldn't believe my ears, I was wondering, at what point did you call them if I'm only 10 minutes late? How did the other client make it here so fast? Either they just are discriminating against me or they have just poor customer service but I know the treatment I got was unfair, and frankly discriminatory, they just didn't want to do my nails. Twice I made my nails with them, and both times I was not treated right, I just couldn't place what it was, until I realized I guess the bad treatment is because I'm African, that's my only thinking, because I saw them treat the other clients...
Read moreThis was the worst experience in my 20 years coming here – I walked out with visible bruises from the tech’s rough handling and a terrible French polish that looked nothing like I asked for,
I have been a loyal customer of this salon for over 20 years, but after my recent experience, I am beyond shocked and disappointed. During a simple French polish change, the nail technician applied such extreme pressure on my foot that I left with visible bruises and a red mark (proof is on my foot!). It felt like physical abuse, not a relaxing service. The French polish she did was nothing like what I requested, and I had to constantly correct her sloppy work. To top it off, I was charged $40 for this terrible and...
