DO NOT GO FOR PHONE SHEEN REPAIRS:
FIRST VISIT: Went to get my screen repaired and a new screen protector. They fixed the screen and told me I'd pay 'x' amount for a protector. I sign stuff and leave. I come back and they hand me the phone without the protector. I remind them. They look and they don't have the protector in stock. I'll have to pay $10 more for a different one. They put it on with bubbles and hand it to me. I ask them to put it on without the bubbles under. 15 minutes later and the bubbles are only getting worse. The guy is pushing down on my screen so hard, his hands are shaking. He hands it to me and says 'can u live with the bubbles' and I say 'no. Because I did last time and the protection started peeling off. He took it off, ends up, the bubbles were from the film on the protector coming off of the protector itself (malfunctioned protector). They say they'll just put on a new one, but oh. That's was the last one and I'll have to pay like $20more than the $10more for a case or come back days later when they have it in stock. I'm flustered but ok.
SECOND VISIT: right after my visit, I noticed whenever I got a call and put the phone to my face, the screen wouldn't darken- so my face pushes buttons, hangs up on people, and mutes me. I have to always put them on speaker. Every time. I bring it in and they fix it. Free of charge.
FUTURE VISIT: the day after it got it fixed the second time, six times the screen turns off by itself as I'm using it (not sleep mode). And three times it has gone off on a weird episode as if a child is pushing everywhere on my screen. Like I opened a text, and it went crazy texting nonsense. And I was watching you tube and it starts clicking other videos on its own. My phone had ZERO issues software wise. I needed the screen fixed cause it got cracked and now I'm having more and more issues with the phone itself.
I will be going back to the store on Monday, frustrated and expecting an ACTUALLY FIXED PHONE. Or a refund. This is crazy.
Also, looked at other reviews and saw the low ratings came from SCREEN REPAIRS ON PHONES!
DO NOT GO HERE FOR SCREEN REPAIRS!
UPDATE: It's Sunday and the problem I had the first time with the screen not turning off during a call is...
Read moreWhile traveling, both batteries on my diesel truck failed. They were both Batteries Plus X series batteries and still under warranty. I tried several Batteries Plus stores and no one had my size in stock. I finally called the Apple Valley store and they were ready to help me out.
It was November, and cold and rainy/sleet. It’s no fun switching out two big batteries in a high pickup truck, in the dark and on a wet night.
I had called in advance and Luke had all the paperwork ready and the batteries by the door so I didn’t have to wait much. To be honest I expected some complaining when I arrived, but Luke and Dylan were extremely professional. They didn’t complain while working in the cold rain to swap out my batteries. I felt like I pulled into a pit stop on the Indy 500, both gentlemen worked together, one swapping out the driver side battery while the other swapping out the passenger side at the same time. It’s hard enough to get decent service these days, but to have two people assigned to get it done and me on the road quicker is just unheard of nowadays.
They both did a fantastic job, and the franchise ownership should be very proud of having these two on their team.
It is this type of service that will bring me back to Batteries Plus the next time I need batteries.
Luke & Dylan – Thank you again for helping me out, you guys did...
Read moreBought a battery a while back and it went bad in just over a year. Luckily I bought a 4 year warranty. After a couple of times coming back telling the Batteries Plus staff my mechanic is saying the battery is dying they gave me a new battery. Now the second battery is going bad. Batteries Plus staff confirmed it and told me it may not start in cold weather. This battery didn't last three years. My original warranty ( on original battery) expired in August 2021. So I had two batteries that didn't make it to three years. Manger on staff (10:15 am, Tuesday Dec. 7th, 2021) preferred to shovel the sidewalk and let the kid handle this situation. When manger came in I explained I have a 4 year warranty and both batteries failed. He told me that warranty was from the first battery only. This reasoning makes some sense to me especially if we are talking about the original battery. Right or not I expected better quality of product, to be treated better, and would have like to see more of an effort from the manager. They shouldn't be selling 4 year warranties when there batteries only last three or less! So now I have to put a third battery in my truck just after 4 years and 4 months. I'm pretty sure I know where...
