Stayed at the new ocean club resort Sunday of their opening weekend. The hotel design was beach chic and cozy. The pool area didn’t have music on and we noticed a ton of speakers so we asked for some and the staff was very accommodating in doing so. We ordered frozen rosè and the meat / cheese board as we waited for our room to be ready at the pool. Both were very good. My biggest gripe with the pool area is the amount of small children running around and yelling / crying.
There is no check in time which I found to be strange but after booking the hotel sends an email asking what time we expected to arrive. We came around 1 and noted so on the email but the room was not ready until 2:30. I totally understand the turnover process and 2:30 is still earlier than most check ins so I wasn’t upset. I just don’t know why they don’t have a standard policy time?
We checked into the ocean loft suite. The room was designed well and smelled fantastic. They thought of most details big hotels forget. The water in the room was infused with mint! There was an iPad / tablet next to the bed, it didn’t work so I have no idea what it was for but I didn’t need it. The shower is large and separate from the toilet area. My only gripe with the room is by no means is this ocean view. It’s on the side of the hotel, there are no direct front view rooms in the hotel. The room was pricey $745 with taxes for one night...
Read moreWe cannot say enough great things about the AOC (not the annoying one in Congress). We were originally booked at the asbury hotel. Due to scheduling glitch in the reservation system there was no room. The manager called me personally to tell me we were being moved across the way to AOC and the room was on them for the mess up. Everyone is super professional. The rooms are incredible... 12’ ceilings, huge balconies (ours had view north to AP convention center), modern, minimalist styling. The pool overlooks the beach and the stony pony summer stage. There’s a cool bar and lounge area. the continental breakfast was filling and came with handcrafted coffee drinks of your choice. The only knock is the floating living room area is kept waaay to cold for us to want to sit there. Actually, the whole common space is too chilly to sit for long periods. We will definitely be back. If you want luxury in now trendy AP this is the place. It’s only a matter of time before all the vacant lots around here are filled with luxury condos and boutique hotels but right now AOC and the asbury...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience I had this weekend at this five star beach front hotel! The staff and service was on point from the valet staff , front desk, management and servers! The pool staff was attentive and constantly keeping our ice water fresh and cocktails coming on this very hot weekend. The food was wonderful, we had lunch every day at the pool and breakfast was delicious (try the bacon) Management brought in a top chef and its obvious in the quality and presentation of everything we ordered! The small details do not go unnoticed here. The bedding was luxurious, mini bars come with a fantastic selection of snacks and beverages as well as a fresh lime for cocktails and just press a button and the staff will bring you ice!! The rain shower is a great touch and the terrace attached to our room was spacious and comfortable and water with fresh mint was refilled daily. Thank you to Joe at the front desk, Neil at the valet, Javier, Vinny and Amanda at the pool for making this weekend a memorable experience. I...
