I recently visited Promiseland Apparel enticed by a big sign advertising custom hoodies for $29.99. However, upon purchase, I was charged $40, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this, the need for a hoodie on a cold day prompted my purchase. The discrepancy in pricing was a letdown, but the warmth the hoodie provided made up for it.

Update: The owner has addressed my review, and I have now shared a picture of the sign displayed outside the store. It explicitly shows the price of $29.99 for custom hoodies. I will adjust the review as I feel empathetic towards the fact that they are just starting their store. Although I received good service, I still feel I was overcharged. I stopped in this store a couple weeks ago when I was on the boardwalk with my mom and sister. I live in Maryland but I grew up in Jersey and will always be a Jersey girl! I was looking for a sweatshirt with a mermaid that could also show my Jersey pride. I know, pretty specific. Low and behold as we walk past this shop my mom spots a shirt outside on display with a mermaid print. A woman came right over to help me and explained I could pick any shirt with any print. The staff then showed me all the mermaid designs they had and pulled them out to see how they'd fit on the shirt I picked. The owner was also super nice. Place where I suffered a scam with a purchase. T-shirt 12 dollars and when he goes to pay he doesn't say the final price and sends his receipt to your email. When you go to see he passed the price of the t-shirt plus the value of the print. Total disrespect to the customer. The boy who attended my wife totally rude uneducated. Year wanted to solve my problem and said he had no return and would not cancel the purchase. I CALLED AMEX AND THEY WANTED TO CANCEL MY CARTAK TO RETURN THE MONEY.
